"Loved our stay. Thank you Jenny, Judy and their families for taking care of us. Very peaceful spot, basic but comfortable, great food and excellent access to dive sites and the northern side of the island. This is an extremely quiet part of Basuanga Island, so be prepared with cash and a good book. "

"The beachhouse is a serene oasis with beautiful seaviews and sunsets, a pretty pool, and a chic boho vibe with natural materials and lots of bamboo and woodworks that show great care for design and sustainability, merging into the natural beauty of the environment. Coming by boat from the seaside (island hopping), you barely see the beachhouse at first, blending into the palm trees that line the shore and the dense greenery of the jungle clad mountain behind. Then it emerges as a tropical oasis...

"Beautiful property with fresh clean rooms. The place is immaculate, and the staff is super accommodating. They arranged several island tours and daily excursions, the sunset one being spectacular.
The upstairs restaurant prepared delicious evening meal with a wide variety of Japanese and Asian food. The only drawback was the rooster farm next to the property. They can be annoying."

"Pretty nice room with comfy bed.
Fan was good but made lot of noise.
Inside the room was own sink/water tap so that was nice.
Terrace outside room with good views.
Free water refill and coffee was a big plus.
There was also microwave.
Location was ok. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, motorcycle rental places etc."

"Arriving at Corto Del Mar was like getting dropped off at a Spanish mansion with a proverbial red carpet. Our kids asked, “Can we afford this?” when they saw our junior suite and because our standard of living is higher with Philippine pesos, yes we can. What a treat to be treated with such warmth, hospitality, and respect. The staff was top notch. The buffet breakfast was varied daily and so delicious. The hotel was also within walking distance to the town for sightseeing and shopping. Book the suites or any room in this Spanish mansion and you’re in for a treat with the ambiance and first clas treatment."
"We stayed three nights. The hotel appears old from the outside but the rooms appeared renovated and provided all the necessary amenities ie good WiFi, working AC, safe, refrigerator and fast working showers. We ate breakfasts each morning and dinner twice. Food was excellent either way both Filipino and western offerings. Happy hour is celebrated daily. The pool was great. Best of all was service by all staff whether drivers, reception, dining room and housekeeping. From the airport you drive thru a very busy downtown until you reach the hotel. Highly recommend."
"The best and only accommodation in the island of Coron. Sunset villas is a destination in itself with the abundance of corals and fish in temperate, clean and super calm private secure lagoon. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food and service were first class."
"First off , the staff.. so so amazing. I had gotten food poisoning from a tour I did, and they were so helpful keeping me hydrated and had tablets to let me enjoy my vacation.
The food options were great, many options. This can just be your stay without ever visiting town. The view was jaw dropping everyday. Aircon was strong , even had to turn it off it got so cold. Room was well kept , and no issues with mosquitos unless you kept door open.
Cons might be the cost of getting into town, cost 2.5k per way. So plan for that cost as fuel prices are taking a toll on transport. Also there is a 22 percent tax on all food, but the prices of food are cheap enough that you don’t notice.
The complaints I see online don’t seem fair. They are very misguided. This is a five star stay. They have great activities , and amazing amazing spa. Only $15 for the top massage for 2 hours and scrub. I will stay here again, only difference is I’ll rent a car as you are hour outside of coron town."
"La Estancia Busuanga Resort delivered an experience that exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of breathtaking natural beauty, impeccable accommodations, and genuinely warm, professional service created a vacation that was both relaxing and enriching. The staff's commitment to guest satisfaction without the aggressive commercial tactics found elsewhere was perhaps the most pleasant surprise.
For couples seeking a romantic getaway, families looking for a safe, activity-rich destination, or anyone who simply wants to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with nature and loved ones, La Estancia is an ideal choice. Just come prepared to embrace the seclusion—that's part of what makes this resort so special.
We left La Estancia feeling refreshed, appreciated, and already planning our return visit. In a world where genuine hospitality is increasingly rare, this resort stands as a shining example of how things should be done. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, peaceful, and thoroughly enjoyable Philippine island experience."
