The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

8/10 Good
"We had a lovely one night stay recently which had only one let down. The room, the breakfast and bar were all excellent but the local parking is difficult. We parked where the signs said you couldn’t park overnight and asked the reception staff should we move, they reassured us that it wasn’t enforced and was to deter camper vans. Unfortunately we came back to our car the next morning to discover a £90 fine. We would have moved the car if the hotel staff hadn’t said it would be ok and now we are out of pocket. Be careful where you park if you are driving to this hotel."

10/10 Excellent
"This BnB is on a dairy farm walking distance to the Giants' causeway and Bushmills attractions. The local bus drops off a 15min walk away, which is great for backpackers. Danielle and her staff are friendly and attentive. I requested a small lamp and had it within minutes. If you need anything just ask. Breakfast is a perfect combo of homemade breads, fruit, cheeses, cereals. An Irish hot breakfast is available for a small additional fee. I loved being on the farm but this may not be for everyone. It is a working farm and smells like one, especially in the heat. This is a guest house that's been in the same family for 3-4 generations and the house shows its age, but not in a detracting way. If you're expecting a 5 star experience of perfection this isn't it. BUT if you love cozy and inviting heritage homes with an established reputation in the area this place is perfect. There are two rooms to relax and chill out both with large tv's and guests do use them. I hung out with other guests and watched the eclipse. We had a grand time. This place is dead quiet at night and perfect if you want a retreat away from the busy world. Lastly, it's one of the few places I've seen great family rooms at a reasonable rate. I will definitely come back, and book much longer next time!"

"We had a fabulous stay at Rambler’s Rest. The property, amenities and friendliness of the owners was first class from check in until leaving. We had nothing to complain about. There was a fantastic outdoor mini bar area where you could sit and unwind after a long day exploring the sites and local area. We had our dog Cooper with us and it was a perfect set up for him also. With or without dogs I would highly recommend. Also in a very quiet location especially when sleeping. Top notch!"
