"Arrived on the biggest festival day of the year but staff was great and helped us navigate the crazy parking situation as the city gates were closed making their normal lot unavailable. Room was small as expected but perfectly located near everything. Breakfast was very good and lots of room for the packed house. Ate at the hotel restaurant which was very good as well. "We weren't sure what to expect from the room - and we were stunned. It was big - I've had smaller apartments. Had a room at the rear of the property that overlooked the biergarten/restaurant, with a view of the city. French doors opened all the way for fresh air. We were on the top floor, so there wasn't a balcony, so if that's your thing, ask for a second-floor room.
Rothenburg is very walkable. We took the train there, and the property is only about a 15-minute walk from the Bahnhof. We'd visit again.
