"One cannot argue with the view - it's amazing! Every suite has a balcony that looks out over the beach. So, in essence, you're paying for the location.
The downside, property-wise ... I cannot speak for every room, only the one we were in. The refrigerator didn't cool very well, and the temperature control knob was broken off so there was no way for us to alter this since we had no pliers; we called maintenance, who came promptly, and said the lower inside of the frig was good and that we shouldn't put things in the door and expect them to cool.
The thermostat in our room was missing its front panel - the backup batteries were visible. For the money we paid I expect more.
We had a cool flush-mount ceiling light fixture in the kitchen, but only 2 out of 3 bulbs were working in it.
If you stay here, bring some power strips - the outlets are few and largely used by lamps, etc.
The upside, property-wise ... our bed backed up to the outside hallway. I was worried that we were going to hear a lot of noise from outside as kids ran around and screamed in the early morning, but we did not. We closed the blinds on that side of the suite and it was great.
The downside, town-wise ... we arrived on a Saturday and traffic was absolutely insane. We thought that we'd check out some of the shops downtown, only to find that people were waiting in 30-car-long lines for public parking. If you go on a weekend, set your expectations accordingly. The only safe haven is the resort."
