"Couldn't fault it, location was great to relax and 10 minute drive in to Chester👍"

"The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! "

"The chalet was perfect for us very clean. Everything you could possibly need. The location was absolutely beautiful so quiet and the nature around us was fantastic. Would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again in the future."

"Location, property, service "

"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"A brilliant cottage perfect for what we wanted very modern, clean, private, felt like home! It was really nice to get back to the cottage after a long day of walking and site seeing. Really easy to find using a sat nav and no trouble with the country roads or conditions of the roads to get there as seen in another review so don’t let that put you off booking! Nice little bonus of milk and cookies on arrival which was great as we arrived quite late without supplies so could still have a cuppa...

"We have used Hotels.com many times and Sykes cottages a number of times this past year al very good and this was excellent. The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi. "Fantastic hotel wonderful staff very disappointing that for the price of the stay the spa for just swimming isn’t included it was an additional £20 per person for 2 hours and then we where charged £20 for parking I also requested flower and chocolates in the room as we had just got married and they wasn’t there All in all we enjoyed our 2 night stay but there is a lot of hidden extras "

"We recently stayed here for the first time for a full weekend for our wedding across the road at St Georges Hall and will almost certainly return. The hotel has a fantastic entrance, is super clean, some of the rooms have great views of St Georges (the Bride got the view, I (the Groom) got the Lime Street view the night before. There's a fantastic Weatherspoons next door and a few parking options near by - the only small negative was the evening meal in the restaurant was 'just ok', nothing to write home about considering the price.... But on the whole. Fantastic stay and we will be back."
