"I've stayed at Old Silk Appartments twice so far in apartments 8 and 9. Both I found spotless, white soft towels, comfy beds, tastefully decorated well maintained and adequately appointed. Large fridge freezer, 4 ring hob oven and microwave, basic set of kitchen utensils and a couple of pans adequate to cook something simple. "The staff hardly spoke or were helpful at all only one said morning to us. We asked for extra pillows but these never arrived. We were told breakfast was from 7 but it was 8 and when we went at 7.50am we were met with sighs all in all it was one of the most expensive rooms I have ever booked and the worst customer service"

The spa facilities were also very good and made it easy to relax. I also enjoyed the lovely surroundings, which made the hotel even more special. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"First time at this hotel, the room we had was very clean as was the rest of the hotel that we saw although we did not eat there and were not in the hotel very long as we were attending a concert. The only staff we met were on reception but they were very good and the only problem for me was the hotel is a little out of the way for me as a disabled person but it was easy enough to get a taxi"

"They charge to use the pool, which I think should be made clear when booking. Whilst only £5 a time, that is quite a lot for quite a run down facility that wasn't very clean. The rooms were OK, once I swapped for a second room as they first smelt like someone had been smoking in it quite recently."
