"AVOID. Difficult to know where to start. This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. Good but dated hotel.

"Good hotel whose dated appearance masks the facilities and staff helpfulness. Our room (18) was spacious and well equipped. My only complaint was no table at "my" side of the bed yet had the single and double been moved to the left one could have fitted. It makes a nice change to order the cooked breakfast and have it brought to our table."

"Absolutely superb ! Like stepping on board the titanic! Fantastic decor. Staff! efficient polite very clean and tidy. Beautiful building inside. Outside building needs some renovation but ok . Huge spacious rooms with everything you need maybe a fridge be useful particularly when hot weather. But all things considered very good. Price very good for July no issues with that . Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t believe all reviews! Some people are too quick to pull a business down. For this hotel comments were about thread bear and tiered! Maybe a bit , but I love that used patina and for a building of its age it’s just character and a fabulous example of a standard from a bygone age . Thank goodness some people keep these hotels alive and kicking. 🙏"
