"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Off the main road which was good. We thought it was a nice, pleasant place to stay within a short drive of Chester. I would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. "Exceptional hotel. Absolutely superb value for money. I researched this hotel and the reviews were spot on. Very high quality throughout - the rooms, beds, staff. The location is also perfect. Opposite Albert Dock and a 2 minute walk to Liverpool One. You are around a 10/15 minute walk from the James/Castle/Mathew St nightlife. But there are a couple of excellent bars in the Albert Dock too Very little else to say. Book this hotel with absolute confidence. Fantastic stay"
