"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. Thanks for a great stay Jenna, nice to meet you 👍"

"Clean room, helpful staff, plenty of parking. Great stay"

"Had to wait a few mins for door to be answered. Even though we’d called ahead to confirm arrival. Difficulty with manage barrier and at first couldn’t find our booking. When he did he literally said the room number, gave us a card and said to go upstairs, no introduction, no guidance. The place seemed dirty straight away and had no feel of a hotel, it was more like a HMO. Our room was tiny, no bathroom (which I take blame for as I didn’t check correctly when I booked), hole in wardrobe, hard floor with no rugs or carpeting, rickety say windows and NO curtain or blind to keep the light out so be prepared to be woken with the rising sun. The linen has hairs on and just one pillow per person, although we did find an extra psi in the wardrobe. A tiny kettle with one teabag was the supposed breakfast I guess as we weren’t offered anything else despite believing it was bed and breakfast. The were practically made from cardboard and you could every single noise form the next room, music, talking, tv….couldnt believe it. The shared bathrooms were hideous, dirty, no hand towels in one of them, pee on toilet lids and questionable locks that most guests didn’t bother using. Why didn’t we complain there and then you ask. Well we would have done if anyone had shown their face or been around.We were literally left to it. If you want to experience third world accommodation come to the namaste and pay through the nose for it. Shame on your hotels.com for allowing these places to continue"

"From the minute we arrived at Seckford everyone was so helpful.One of the helpful staff over heard us say we were alittle early .So he kindley .Checked us in whilst we were having lunch .He was very helpful thankyou .The restaurant staff were very helpful too by pre booking Seckfords delicious beef Wellington for 2 for our evening meal.The Spa staff were very helpful too.Alround fab team breakfast staff could not do enough for us too .Thankyou for a lovely stay .."

"A very nice hotel with good facilities with a lovely golf course, spa & pool. Room ok but felt basic. TV very old poor quality, kettle needed descaling and no glasses for drinks in room yet given bottles of water? Asked maid to make up the room in afternoon but when came back in evening it hadn't been done our bins were full up. This wa resolved after I'd gone to reception. My disabled wife tried phoning House keeping, room service and reception for items but nobody answered phone?? Very poor service Breakfast ok lots of options, just worried about people using their hands to pick up food as no tongs out? Theres no disabled toilet yet theres ramp from brasserie? You'd expect there to be one or two in a 4 star hotel ?"

"For a stay over to see family for dinner. Great parking and so close to city centre - about 10min easy walk. Friendly staff. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Basic but more than nice enough and I didn't pay big money to warrant any luxuries anyway! I didn't have breakfast so can't comment. I'd return."

"The room was clean, but dated. The staff were friendly and very helpful We didn't have breakfast there, but only because we had other arrangements. We did have dinner the three nights we stayed, all of the meals were excellent and well presented. Parking was not a problem, enough space for all guests and staff. The hotel is an old property that oozes character and the garden is quiet and relaxing. The room we had does need some tlc to be honest, but for 3 nights it was acceptable."

"Well presented and quietly located bedroom in an adjacent building with all necessary amenities - tea/coffee maker, iron. Large and well equipped, modern bathroom. Spotlessly clean on arrival although, a minor grudge, no housekeeping on 2nd day. Very good dinner (duck) well presented. Delicious breakfast on both mornings - comprehensive menu. Saturday's breakfast was a bit if a scrum as the restaurant is popular with non-residents which meant slower service. Generally excellent value and recommended."

Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel, Golf & Spa

2/10 Terrible

"The room was dirty, all around the edges were full and thick with dust and dirt, gravel and stones, cobwebs all over. TV remote batteries were dead. Room taken an age to find. Hotel shower and mixer was poor with temperature and pressure control. It was the most expensive hotel I’ve booked for 7 hour quick stay over and the most disappointed I’ve been in many hotels I’ve stayed at. Never again."
