"Beautifully clean apart/hotel. Rooms in newly decorated condition and facilities spotless. Friendly staff who despite our poor efforts at speaking French made every effort not to make us feel awkward. Our only criticism, and it is a minor issue, is that there was no English type tea! "We had a nice stay overall. The place is very well located. However, one last incident left a negative impression. I returned to my room at 11:50 a.m., just 10 minutes before checkout, to quickly collect my luggage and rush to the train station. To my surprise, my key card no longer worked. I went to the front desk, where I was initially told that I had already checked out. I explained that I had not and that I was in a hurry. The receptionist reactivated my card, but when I returned to the room, it still did not work. I had to run back to the reception again. When I explained my frustration and the urgency of the situation, the receptionist’s response was not particularly helpful and seemed dismissive, saying that “it is not my fault.” This was not the level of hospitality I expected. Eventually, another employee came upstairs with me and opened the door, allowing me to retrieve my luggage and catch my train. While the issue was ultimately resolved, the way it was handled by the front desk staff was disappointing."

"Staff were wonderful. Breakfast is an extra charge, but had a good selection. No AC, which is usual for this area, but when we were there it was a little warmer for the area so the room was a little uncomfortable. Thankfully you can open the windows and the staff provided a fan, so we managed. The restaurant at night requires a reservation, which we did not realize ahead of time, so we had to find somewhere else to eat, so make reservations if you want to stay on-site. The food looked delicious, I was sad to not be able to eat there."

"Hotels.com said that reception closed at 20.00 but it closed at 19.00! Fortunately we arrived at the same time as some other late arrivals who phoned someone and found their room card under the outside ash tray....ours was there too. Unfortunately the details were incorrect so it took us ( and several friendly people) a long time to find our room. The whole site was almost empty and only just starting for the season. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. When we met the receptionist the following morning she was very apologetic. We feel that better information about the Adonis should be provided. "

"The staff at the hotel are all amazing! From a smooth check in to all our questions they were there to help! They even helped us get the bus transportation app up and running for us. The only downside was a slight hum in the room due to ducting in the bathroom. We were so tired from our day that we still slept peacefully! Very central location. Beautiful to stroll along the River right across the street from the hotel. There was a bus stop just around the corner from the hotel making it super easy to bus to the Caen Memorial and the Chateau. Choice of restaurants within a short walk down the road."

"Currently very dirty. I felt so sorry for the cleaners I made sure to leave a 5 Euro per day tip for their hard work but even the best cleaners could not keep up with the dirt around this property currently. There is messy reconstruction of the onsite pool, a big port construction project right across the street and a total remodel of a big hotel next door. Plus sand from the beach blows in and people do not clean up after their dogs on the sidewalk to the beach. Yuck. Many dogs in hotel shed hair that gets on your clothes. Parents hold infants in dirty clothes over the food in the breakfast room while filling their plates. No screens on windows."
