Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn, Brockenhurst, New Forest
10/10 Excellent
"Such a memorable stay for my husband’s 70th Birthday. Our family were all made to feel so welcome and the meal for twelve was perfectly presented. I want to recognise particularly Izzy and Emma for their service as it went above and beyond."
Balmer Lawn Hotel
8/10 Good
"A very nice but old building. No disabled parking but told to use the dropping off section out the front so that was ok. Room was nice but quite small to manoeuvre round the bed if you were sleeping on the left side. No air conditioning which was disappointing in these temps. Did have a fan so that went on and stayed on til we left the next day. Surprised the bar shut by 11 nowhere to get a nice cold drink. The restaurant was fully booked because there was an 80th party going in which we weren’t pre warned about. Luckily hubby hadn’t had a drink so we went out into Lymington to find somewhere to eat. Indoor & outdoors pools were ok just needed a little tlc really. Breakfast was very nice cannot fault that at all. Sausages and bacon very tasty as was all the hot choice."
