Lovely property with gorgeous surrounds. The restaurant serves delicious food, fantastic wine options and great friendly service. The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and quiet. The perfect stay away from Brisbane.
We wanted a quiet overnight stay in the countryside close enough to the Wivenhoe Dam. Woodlands is in a unique and delightful setting on the top of a hill. You need to have reasonable walking ability to enjoy the gardens. Because it was a Monday night we travelled about 5 kms to the Sundowner Saloon on the Warrego Highway for dinner. This added to our happy experience.
The staff were lovely and friendly and the receptionist told us about the history of the property. The grounds and surrounds were very well maintained.
The property was outstanding the landscape the gardens the pool everything was wonderful we were hoping to stay in the big house but that's unfortunate but otherwise it was really wonderful
Beautiful location perfect to sit and watch sunrise or sunset. Would be very happy to return

Beautiful old house. Grounds manicured very well. View was perfect. Room was very clean and furniture suited the country feel . Staff wre very helpful and friendly. All in all a great place to stay, peaceful.
Loved the grounds & the view, the pool was huge even though I didn't use it, the room was lovely/spacious, comfortable, clean & the shower was a double & plenty of room but some maintenance is required in the room/s & also the pool, we used the tennis court which was great but also in need of maintenance. Unfortunately if you stay on the ground floor you can hear people walking around upstairs. Staff were very friendly, food was amazing in the restaurant & great in the cafe, would stay here again.
No Breakfast,no Restaurant, no staff to assist.
The old house was closed during my stay and that is why I wanted to stay at Woodlands.
High price for old worn out bed and worn out general accommodation. The room was never cleaned or serviced during my stay.
Nice buffet breakfast photo displayed on the internet but in reality it was non existent.
The only staff member I met was a director of the establishment and he was quite domineering, arrogant and somewhat rude. His demeanor was condescending. He mentioned he was a director no fewer than five times.
When customers pay high prices they expect good service. Customers should be treated with respect as they are paying hard earned, tax paid dollars for the experience.
One staff member that I only spoke to on the telephone was very helpful, but she was never present at the facility.
Grounds are beautiful with views. Onsite Cafe operates weekends for lunch, meals were delicious . Room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Would be handy if you could order a breakfast pack as cafe isnt open weekdays.
Booking site is a little misleading. You are not staying in the mansion; you stay in a nearby motel room. Can't even enter the mansion for a look.
No ambience. The place is not used to its full potential given its history.
Not allowed to BYO alcohol. The onsite cafe is shut for the afternoon so you can't buy a drink.
Dinner was disappointing. Menu said ragu pasta dish but bolognese was brought to the table. Other diners ordered ragu and got bolognese as well. Obviously ragu not available but they hoped the diners wouldn't notice.
Wouldn't stay here again unless the mansion was available for accommodation.
On the plus side, gardener was very helpful with a car problem.
Large Queen Suite, good bed, fridge and amenities. Beautiful gardens & view. Excellent 5 Star service from Jamie at Restaurant. Limited menu probably due to Co-vid restrictions. Would stay in Summer next time so fabulous 50mtr pool
can be used. Only stayed 1 night, 2 would be nice. Also noticed excellent group/conf facilities and looked to be perfect Wedding Venue.
