"We arrived at 3:25pm to check in to the hotel they assigned us a room that wasn't even cleaned yet. The swimming pool was full of leaves and the water was green. There was a water leak outside the hotel which needless to say there was water over the sidewalk. In the breakfast area the bench type seats were full of black and brown stains on the cushions, the serving utensils (tongs)were broken the air conditioner in the room wasn't working properly. There were no kleenex napkins in the bathroom the bathroom wasn't equiped with enough toilet tissue. The clerk said that he would have given us a discount but because we used Expedia to book the reservation he said he could'nt. I called IHG because in the elevator there was a sign that said that we want your stay to be 100% satisfied, well we were not 100% satisfied with our stay there. The ice machine on one of the floors was out of order. The agent at IHG said they were going to deposit 12,000 points into our IHG account but they never deposited anything."
"We love the historic feel of this hotel. It's a great retreat from the DFW metroplex - a short ride out to the "country". Lots of antique shops within walking distance. We had a drink in the hotel bar -- an exquisite jalapeno/cucumber margarita! You get an apartment with kitchen for the price of a hotel room. Lot's of shopping nearby. We also enjoyed a couple's massage at the nearby Bath House and Spa."
"When we checked into the room, we found no hangars were in the closet. We asked for some from several different staff members and didn't receive any for two days. The seat on the toilet in our room was severely misaligned. One of our friends also staying at the hotel in a different room, .tripped over a rug in the lobby directly in front of the reception desk, manned by a hotel staff member. The staff member offered no assistance or even a inquiry as to our friend's well being. No serious injury other than a bleeding tear in the skin of his arm. We were surprised by the lack of reaction to the event. "
"Our experience at the Greystone Inn in Bridgeport, Texas. could not have been much worse.
We checked in on the evening of March 21, 2026 and were asleep when my wife was awakened about 5:30 am on March 22, 2026 . We turned on a light and she had bed bugs on her as well as numerous bed bug bites. We stayed in the room until check out time when I went to the office to discuss the matter. Before going to the office, two employees acknowledged that the vermin were bed bugs. At the office, I was told in no uncertain terms that since we had booked the room through a third party (Expedia) we would have to approach Expedia for any adjustment or recourse. The person I talked with gave me a first name but refused to give me a last name. "
