"We absolutely loved our stay at Bowmore house. We booked the distillery view room. It was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, and we even got to sample the proprietary whisky. The staff kicked us informed of any possible issues with returning from the island via the ferry. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit."

"I couldn’t fault the place at all. Emma and Graham are the most attentive hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Welcoming, attentive and friendly.
Their home is immaculate. Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean. Ample parking in site. I was in Room 2 which faces the road but traffic is so sporadic, noise is definitely not an issue. Bed was superbly comfortable with the most luxurious sheets and bedding. Bathroom is functional and well appointed, with toiletries provided if you forget your own.
And so to breakfast. Oh my goodness. The take was literally awash with the most wonderful produce. A beautiful fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, a freshly baked muffin (which was delicious) Porrige and toast was offered which I declined but the cooked breakfast was too tempting. Again, great quality, perfectly cooked and frankly, delicious.
This place is an absolute haven. When I next return to Islay, there is nowhere else I would consider staying - huge thanks to Emma and Graham. I hope to see you again. "
"We were working on the island for a few days & im glad we decided to stay at Andrew & Alison’s B&B.
Lovely welcoming people who done a fantastic breakfast for us every morning.
The rooms were huge, warm & very comfortable.
On another note, we managed to finish our job earlier than expected & Andrew was kind enough to contact the ferry company and change the time of our return journey so we could get back home quicker.
That man is worth his weight in gold.
If we ever have to return to the island for more work, we will only ever stay at the Bowmore.
Highly recommended, 5 star’s!!!

"it’s a nice boutique hotel but the rooms are cozy and not too bad. Also, the hotel is very close to the airport but middle of nowhere. If you have to take a taxi service to Bowmore, which is the town center, for meals, It will cost 40 poundsround-trip. The hotel has a restaurant on site but sort of limited menu if you have any kind of meal restrictions or limitations. It is also close to a beach and has a golf course. The beach is beautiful and such a nice walk from the hotel."
"The property is so well equipped for self catering and it is situated in the middle of the island, very convenient for visiting the whisky distilleries."
"Great place! Beautiful and big house! Helpful owner if any questions . Strategic location right in between all distilleries. Really unique house in an idyllic situation on a beach!

"The staff are angels on earth! Karl helped me fix a ferry/bus schedule problem and saved me from being stranded across the island in the dark. Lorna saved me from another transportation oversight I made, connecting me with a taxi driver that kept me on schedule. Without them my whole trip to Islay would have been a disaster, but instead, it was wonderful! Oh, and the hostel is lovely, clean, informative, and peaceful. "
