Family friendly Hotels in Brentwood, Nashville

"My family and I recently stayed at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center for spring break. We traveled with three young children (ages 3, 3, and 4), and while the resort is undeniably beautiful, our overall experience was extremely disappointing—especially for the price. The property itself is stunning, with indoor waterfalls, lush landscaping, and unique water features. We were especially interested in the indoor boat ride, but it was far too crowded for us to enjoy. While the atmosphere is impressive, the experience does not match the cost. The SoundWaves water park was just okay—not nearly as impressive as expected given the premium price. We’ve had a much better experience at Great Wolf Lodge for significantly less money. Our room was small and not family-friendly. There was no microwave. The bathroom was especially frustrating—very cramped, with barely enough space to maneuver between the toilet and shower. What was most disappointing is that nothing was included in our very expensive two-night stay. The food was average at best and extremely overpriced. We dined at Stax and Old Hickory, and honestly, both could have been skipped. The only reasonably priced option we found was the ice cream shop. On top of that, parking was an additional $37 per day and there was a $30 daily resort fee that didn’t seem to include any meaningful amenities Overall, this experience felt extremely overpriced and underwhelming. I would not return or recommend this resort! "

"Overall, the property is quite nice although it could use some maintenance in some areas. The 2x6 wood railings around the balconies are actually rotted right through. Major water damage in the bathroom ceiling. However many other features were quite nice and they have a very large buffet breakfast. Good location and nice to have secured parking. Catch up on this maintenance and get rid of the rude evening clerk and we'd give this a 5 star rating"

"Property was clean. Room was clean--bed was not comfortable. Bar area was full. Took a while to be served as we sat at a table the first time. Later, we were addressed and served right away. I do feel the on-site parking is quite expensive. We paid for the convenience. Location was perfect for exploring the downtown area. I would return. "
