"Staying at Latchis is like being transported back to the 30's (ignorant incurious millenials can stop reading here). Not just because the building is a gorgeous example of art deco architecture, but the staff provides a level of courteous professional service from a bygone era. And even the least expensive room (my room) has a touch of spacious genuine marble luxury that modern hotels can only fake miserably. Highly recommended. "

"Looks like renovations, so new firm mattress, which is the main reason I was there (1 night). New tub, new shower fixture, great. Room clean. Big mirror at sink had an inoperable light (dark). Door to bath too large for opening, so the carpenter failed. No door handle on door, just hole (can't close door that exceeds opening size anyway. "The Inn was so warm and comforting that it felt like home. It's beautifully decorated and you have access to the common areas where you can enjoy a game of pool, play piano, play a board game or find a nice book to read. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and plenty of seating. The owner Paul was very welcoming and included local snacks and sodas as well as waters in the room which I thought was a nice touch. The breakfast each morning was out of this world! Will definitely stay here again...
