"Genuinely the best place we stayed our whole trip. If your looking for a budget friendly place to stay this should be it. The property is so pretty and the rooms are very nice. It is located in a great spot to walk around the whole medina. The host was one of the kindest people we met in morocco and was super helpful with navigation and storing our luggage. "The Riad has a cozy feeling, it is clean, and has a good rooftop restaurant. The service provided to me was really good, mainly from the ladies that work at the Riad. The Riad is located at a 10 minute walk from the Blue Gate in the Medina. It is located in a hidden street, like many other Riads, but this particularly felt unsafe to me. I was advised to not leave after 9:00 pm because it was considered “unsafe” by a worker at the Riad”. Honestly, not the best of locations."

"The riad is stunning - it felt more like a homestay than a hotel in ways and we were a bit far out but you still get great value for your money - the room we stayed in (Yasmine) was very spacious and split over 2 floors - not very polished but loads of character to the place. "Very hospitable property and staff. The property was gorgeous. Be prepared to be offered all kinds of help. It does come with a heftier price. Almost anything you are offered by the Riad manager will cost you two to three times more than if you use Viator or any online booking service for the exact same experience. A few miles drive by them getting you transportation will be 15 euro. Go and get a petit cab it's 4-5 euro. Upon my departure they requested i cancel my 30 euro first class train ticket, pay for one more night and then pay a private hire for 150 euro to get to Rabat. It Just gets stupid at times. When you turn them down they act like a child thats been told No. Dinner on premise is 20-25 euro. Same meal in the medina 12 Euro. So depending on your travel experience willing to negotiate and be a little adventurous you can have a really nice inexpensive experience or a really expensive experience."

"The cooking staff and the waiter (a boy) were friendly and helpful. The Riad looked great in the lobby. My room just outside the lobby was a bit musty and having asthma I requested another room but they didn’t have any. I had trouble working the air conditioning thinking that might help but the remote battery was dead. Bought 2 and I still couldn’t get it to work. Finally able to get assistance and it helped. Lastly maybe because of its location there was a distinct odor of sewer. I cut my 5 night stay to 4 and left for Chefchouen"

"This is a beautifully restored riad in a great location in the medina with fantastic views over the city. We stayed in the Amira Suite for two nights. It was a beautiful room although having to climb steep steps to reach the huge bathroom each time became a bit trying. There is also a private staircase up to the fantastic rooftop terrace although the terrace itself is shared by everybody. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely lovely. There is also a fantastic restaurant called Ishq within walking distance which we couldn’t recommend highly enough. Negatives: No tea or coffee-making facilities, very low water pressure in the shower, the pool area remained mostly in the shade (in April). However, the worst was two French families staying downstairs whose children (five of them between the ages of 3 – 7) were completely out of control. There was ear-piercing screaming and squealing with one of the kids having a loud whistle on which he blew constantly. This went on all afternoon, evening and the following morning with the noise being amplified by the tiled courtyard. The parents simply sat outside by the pool chatting, drinking wine and scrolling through their mobile phones as if it had nothing to do with them. Staff were too polite or timid to address the situation. Unfortunately, this experience slightly spoiled our otherwise perfect stay. Surely staff should make sure that all guests show a bit of consideration to each other."

"Dar Drissi is lovely. The location is great. We had the family room which has one king bed and 3 singles. An en-suite, large bathroom and a balcony sitting area that looks over the fountain in the main area below. The terrace on the roof is incredible and the breakfast scrumptious. We also had their home cooked dinner was large and delicious. We highly recommend Dar Drissi for your stay in Fes. "

"We had a 3-night stay booked but ended up checking out after a few hours due to the room setup. Our room did not have an en-suite bathroom—the bathroom was located outside the room across a shared staircase area. While we were told it was private, the lock did not function properly, which made us uncomfortable. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the riad itself is beautiful. There may have just been a mismatch in expectations, as this setup wasn’t clear to us when booking. We were charged for the stay, breakfast, and transport, and payment had to be made in cash, which required an extra trip to withdraw money. Pros: - Great location - Beautiful, traditional riad - Very kind and helpful staff Cons: - Bathroom not attached to the room - Bathroom lock did not work properly - Cash payment only Overall, a lovely riad, but worth confirming room details if you prefer more modern amenities."
