Staff very helpful. Property old. Breakfast very minimal (pick up at reception, eat in room). location great.
Easily walkable to BU for family weekend. Very pretty area. T stop nearby is both convenient and noisy. Really nice to be able to leave bags before check in and after check out. Yummy muffins in the morning and friendly staff!
Staff was the best, led me directly to where to park and upgraded me to another room available. The room was extremely spacious with a nice tv and fireplace. The property appears to be a former home divided and has a very homely feel. Stayed one night to attend an event nearby, and was able to leave my car to take public transit to and from the event.
Had a great stay at the Beacon Inn. Room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to all.

It was good until we discovered bites all over one guest’s back after our last of three nights. :-(. I messaged the Beacon Inn through Expedia about that problem after we returned home, and still have received no response more than two weeks later. That’s a definite negative on top of the very negative of whatever bugs were apparently present.
On the positive, the room was spacious and the location right by a T stop was terrific. The neighborhood felt safe to be walking until around 8 PM, even though it got dark very early. As other guests have mentioned, it’s an older property, so don’t expect modern glitz, but certainly adequate for a night’s sleep.
Given the bites, and no response from the property, I wouldn’t stay again.
Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy. Check in was a breeze. Breakfast is very basic but great to grab a snack and coffee before getting on the road. Our only complaint was the water dispenser was empty the entire stay.

Loved it. Close to Fenway, we walked and felt safe, and unique accommodations. I’d definitely stay here again!!
Cozy room, exactly as pictured. Tea and snacks in the equally entrance area downstairs. Small outdoor area with a table, and a lovely Tatte cafe with outdoor seating down the street.
I lived my stay at the Beacon Inn. The receptionist was very pleasant. The room was very clean, ample, the A/C was great. There was a mini fridge with a good size freezer. The lobby has a water dispenser with cold and hot water so you can fill up your water bottle or canister to make tea. Loved the location; walking distance to restaurants and a food store. or to take the Boston subway/over ground green line.
Funky hotel with an amazing location. While not the lap of luxury, it is generally clean and comfortable. The staff are nice and a light breakfast is provided. Location is steps from the T and Fenway park (if baseball is your thing). Also close to BU. Lots of walkable dining options.
Beautiful older row house that has been made in to a bed and breakfast. Lots of character to the property and conveniently located near the hospital med centers and coolidge corner shopping and dining.
Perfect accommodations. Situated in an old brownstone in a quiet and up-end section of town. A mere 15 minute walk to Fenway. The food nearby was extremely varied and delicious. The room was huge with excellent bedding and excellent facilities. Everything you might want in a Boston stay.
Location is brilliant. Only a 16 minute walk to Fenway park. Public transport right across the street. Neighborhood is extremely safe!! Would book again.

Overall good location and decent price. Place needs to up their game in the cleaning department - vacuum, sweep. Beds reasonably comfortable.
