"This cottage was off by itself. Gave us a great view of the northern lights our first night there. We were a little surprised that there was no oven but we made do with the stove top and microwave. It was a nice stay and we would stay there again. We did not have any experiences with the restaurant. The troll garden was pretty cool. And the views were outstanding. Gorgeous sunset from the cottage."

"It was clean, nicely feeling accommodation in a retro style. The retro does NOT mean old and worn out, but more like the feeling of staying in a small local museum. The rooms are the biggest I stayed in during my two-week road trip in Iceland. Location is best - first line facing ocean / harbor. The only thing I liked less where showers. They where ok, but I would do there some renovations to match the entire guesthouse level."

"The room was clean and spacious with a little loft that my grandson took over as his space. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful with all my questions. The breakfast food was delicious and fresh; kept filled during the whole time. Parking had a bit to be desired but all in all it's a great place. Loved our stay there."

"An immaculately clean property in a quiet location with a beautifully maintained yard. Great amenities with a large open dining area and well equipped kitchen. We had a double room which was large, open and had windows on 2 sides. The bed was super comfortable. The ownership is friendly and super helpful. Washrooms are shared but are ultra clean and we had no issue with access. The best guesthouse we stayed at in Iceland. One minor issue, WIFI was spotty but did not detract from our stay. Would highly recommend this property."

"This place is unlike any other guesthouse we stayed in. It is a loved structure, lovingly restored with a fascinating history. The hand-built steep stairs are a wonder of carpentry! The kitchen is well organized and well-stocked. We happened to meet the owner and their daughter and loved our conversation with them. They gave us a deeper insight into rural life in Iceland and sowed us details of the house we would not have known about. Recommend highly!"
