I have stayed at Hotel Virrey for the duration of multiple trips to Bogotá over the past several months while visiting my ex-girlfriend, and I continue to return because it simply delivers every time. The staff is absolutely exceptional—warm, attentive, and always eager to assist with genuine hospitality that makes you feel more like a valued guest than just another traveler. The restaurant staff is equally impressive, delivering consistently good meals in a welcoming atmosphere. The location is superb. The area feels remarkably safe, conveniently situated right next to a Bogotá police station for added peace of mind. It is only a short 10-minute walk to the lively Zona T, and an OXXO convenience store is located just around the corner—perfect for grabbing Speed energy drinks and Gatorade for those late-night essentials. The rooms themselves are cozy, spacious, and impeccably clean, offering a comfortable sanctuary after long days exploring the city. And yes, the hotel’s flexible guest policy (hehe) made everything seamless and stress-free, especially when I was able to get away from my girlfriend for a bit. Hotel Virrey has become my go-to accommodation in Bogotá for good reason. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers seeking reliability, comfort, and convenience.
