"We needed a couple of days away from home, and Harrah's sounded like the right choice. And that it was. Only a 2-hour drive through beautiful mountains and forests, the sprawling landscape of Harrah's was its own marvel. The first day/evening we were there, we walked miles to familiarize ourselves with the locations of the casino, restaurants, shops, bowling and other games, spas and other stuff. We ate at Guy Fieri's restaurant and were served the delicious meal we were hoping to score.
Our accomodations were very comfortable. We slept well on the comfy mattress and pillows, the spacious bathroom was well outfitted, we had a great breakfast at the Selu Cafe, and after losing for a while at the Casino, we decided to find the pools. It was a beautiful day, so after we walked the river walk, we opted for the outdoor pool, which was maybe 5 ft. deep. But it was hot, the water felt great and we were able to bask in the sun. We even had a poolside cocktail before we left the area. In the evening, we had another fine dinner at the Soco Smokehouse, did a little more gambling, watched a little tv and went to bed.
The only negatives we can site were the elevator hallways, where a little trash was accumulating on the floor and in the elevators, and it was still there the next day. We also felt that the check-in process seemed lengthy, but we arrived at a busy time.
We left the next morning, very satisfied with our mini vacay and feeling like we'd really been away."
