Upgraded to hotel Geysir - great experience

Before arrival we were notified that we were being upgraded to Hotel Geysir. And that was a pleasure !! Really great hotel with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Architecture was beautiful and there was a great consistency from A-Z. Great restaurant, beautiful view, great food - both dinner and breakfast. We definitely would come back.

The location was amazing! So close to everything. Definitely worth a one night stay. The rooms were huge and spacious basically your own cabin. The amenities how ever not so great for what they caharge. You dont have wifi in your cottage you have to got back to the main house where you checked in which is down the road. The beds are pretty hard and the tv only gets one station. Other than that it was a great stay. Also the geysir center is the best place to grab food for your buck. Becarful tho they say they close at 8 but the kitchen closes at 7

Le site est parfaitement bien situé, l'accueil est top, le cottage répond à toutes nos exigences: nature face au ruisseau, superbe!!!, Toutes les commodités sont également sur place et le must du must: Geyser juste en face!!!!, Cela nous a permis de nous y rendre au coucher du soleil puis au lever du soleil: une pure beauté sans touriste!!! Petit plus: nous parlons français et Portugais, et notre hôte du soir qui parlait Portugais nous a été d'une grande aide et très sympathique, merci à ce Monsieur!!!!😉

This is the best little place. We saw the Northern Lights and could watch from the windows. The little campers are the cutest and had everything we needed. This is a little gym in the middle of Iceland.

Surprising Little Gem

These are duplex cabins right across fro the geysir so that is what attracted me to stay there my first night after arriving from the west coast of the US. I think it was a little better than expected actually because it was really cute inside, the bed was comfortable, there was a tv for those that want it, and The only thing it did not have was WiFi in the room, and although I had a little work to do it was nothing I didn’t enjoy putting off for a day! No WiFi was a treat. They do have it in the lounge in the main building though if you really need it. Grab two for one beers at happy hour and relax in the lounge for a bit. Breakfast was also good, and although my rate did not come with it I went ahead and bought the buffet. Very pleasant and satisfying. All in all I would definitely choose this place again.

Mooie cottage op 300m van de geysers. Enkel geen wifi. Daarvoor moet je nr hoofdgebouw, zo’n 500m verder.

great cottages and location

super location, clean and comfortable cottages opposite the geysir , with plenty of parking. breakfast in hotel nearby which was excellent..plenty of choice, both hot and cold..friendly staff

Good place to stay

The locations is excellent - just across the road from the geo thermal area. Good amount of parking and several restaurants/cafe within a very short walk. The cottage was fine. Good views from the window and front porch. Would have been nice to have chairs outside to sit on. Main issue was WiFi was only available at the bar 5 minute walk away. There was a brief power cut which meant lights and shower etc didn’t work. We enjoyed our stay.

A quelques mètres des fameux geysers nous étions en cottage, de plus en plus à la mode en Islande. C'est à la fois impersonnel et charmant. Literie confortable, peut être quand même un petit manque de place pour les valises mais pour une nuit cela suffit

Super emplacement

Cottage en face du geysir! Complexe très cosy, petit déjeuner copieux, personnel accueillant. Une connexion WIFI dans les bungalows serait un plus pour ce standing.
