Hotels near Black Hawk State Historic Site

"The internet was weak and unusable. The breakfast was average. There were young (7-9 years old) running up and down the hallways late at night and shouting to one another. Beds were extremely comfortable, but the sleeper sofa was absolutely terrible! It disturbs me that it can still be considered a bed. It should have been replaced 15 years ago. The layout of the room was perfect for two parents and their adult child."

"The room we booked wasn't available so we were given a room with a sink that had no water and it was broken. The breakfast food choice was poor and was not worth the price. We are handicapped and had to park across the street with paid parking while the hotel free parking lot was not mentioned to us. We were able to see it from our room and there were many slots available. Probably won't stay here again. "

"An older hotel that has been updated and is comfortable, clean, well appointed and well located - enjoyed a delicious light dinner outside - excellent service."

"We had a room on the 1st floor. Horrible. The room smelled like an ashtray even tho the hotel is supposed to be smoke free.The smell was so bad it gave instant headaches as we are non smokers. The sheets were dirty, with crumbs on the bed. No soap in the room for hand washing. Side entrance to the hotel doors glass was broken/cracked half way down one side. Felt pretty unsafe here… Bathtub looked dirty. It rained that night and the side parking lot had a puddle so deep we waded in water up to our ankles to our vehicle. Only good thing I can say was the bed wasn’t horrible and the breakfast was ok and the location is conveniently right off the interstate and by the airport. We checked in late and was leaving early or we wouldn’t have stayed, and most all other hotels were completely booked. "

"They had a fun breakfast menu. They had recipe cards in various places to give suggestions on making things from the varied breakfast food items... My favorite was the various toppings to make different breakfast parfaits! "
