"Overall a good experience. We found considerably cheaper parking than the recommended B4 car park at a council car park a few minutes walk over the road by Salvation Army - just £7 for 24hrs.
Staff were very welcoming on arrival & check in was quick.
Our twin room was clean and spacious, I was impressed with the shower size & my son was thrilled at the TV size! Also that it was smart enabled.
Location was good, less than 10mins walk to City centre for decent food & drink options.
My only complaint would be that the toilet seat would not stay up in our bathroom which is inconvenient for 2 blokes sharing!
We had breakfast included with our stay & there was plenty of everything despite how busy the area was. My son has a dairy allergy & was still able to eat plenty.
My only complaint/ suggestion here would be to label allergens next to each item - especially as there is already a card in place to tell you the k/cals! My son ate scrambled eggs before we found out they have milk added. Thankfully it is not a severe allergy. But clearer labelling would help as requesting allergen advice in the middle of busy service took time away from the already very busy staff.
Despite this, I would stay at Holiday Inn again. Decent hotel at competitive price."
