"This hotel has had nothing done to improve it since the 1950’s. The carpet is dirty, the rooms are outdated, and the “villa” was anything but a”villa”. It was an old house that was dirty, creepy, and again was outdated in the 1950’s. The website gave this property 4 stars - no way!! Maybe 1 star, but not 4. The pools needed to be cleaned and updated as well. "

"This place is just great for a quiet getaway. The restaurant has great food, the bar is great with karaoke. They don’t bother you and it’s very relaxed. It isn’t fancy pants but if you just want to get away, I highly suggest going here."

"A family oriented and climber friendly place to stay. About 30 minutes to Joshua Tree, so located fairly close. Clean property and nice amenities, pool and board games. "

"Eccentric is the right word to describe this place. It was clean and well stocked with towels etc. I found myself fascinated by the decor, it obviously took some time and effort to do. We absolutely loved it. Then there is the view, watching the sun set behind the mountains in the evening or the mountains slowly being illuminated by the sun as it rose, what an incredible sight as you ate breakfast or dinner. We didn’t use the patio as there was a heatwave while we were there but it looked like a lovely place to gather in nice weather. It’s not right in the middle of everything but it’s close enough that the attractions are only 20-30 minutes away. Groceries and restaurants are only five minutes away. I would definitely book this place again it I were going back to the area. It’s close enough to everything and the quirkyness is more fun than a “normal “ hotel. Not to mention that it’s cheaper than a lot of other places I looked at. "
