"We stayed in Monroe while we went to visit family in Snohomish and this hotel was so worth it! I’d definitely stay here again. I loved how clean the room and hotel were. The staff was nice. The free continental breakfast was great and clean. The pool and hot tub looked great but I didn’t get a chance to use them."
"The property was extremely dirty had not been picked up garbage all over unpainted rickety stairs. My room had before bugs in it and floor made my white socks black. I've buckets from the 70s with no lines and stained inside I saw no ice machine. My door had been kicked in entire door was unsafe had to call maintaining for that as well as TV did not work so maintenance brought another older smaller TV to use.i went to put water bottles in freezer there was food in there so they aren't being cleaned microwave was already 30 years old I did not open m the entire place have me the creeps. I was released from a hospital and was told by the hospital nursing staff this was reasonably priced place to stay and from photos on Expedia the place looks freshly painted with great breakfast bar ... that was 20 years ago maybe!!! It looks NOTHING like this right now. I am from Wenatchee and it being memorial weekend and me stuck there with no car had no choice but to stay I asked janitor to get me fresh sheets and surreptitiously on them sitting up on the couch. It was truly gross DO NOT stay there! I am calling health department about bed bugsI have photos of them evident on the bed it was horrible place and unsure the window can be kicked in and the curtains did not close properly I had to use a hair clip to close them for privacy!"
"The front desk was deserted and when called a man grunted something indicating he'd be there momentarily. He was. And then he checked us in without a single word, very slowly. The card machine was barely running. The property is rough and seems to be largely occupied by more permanent tenants. Outside it smells a little of the ashtrays provided. Room was large, with a small sitting area and kitchenette with a microwave and a full size fridge. Television set up was weird, right in the middle of the room. Air conditioner was *filthy*. The entire floor sloped. The toilet wasn't sealed to the floor. The king bed was in the corner of the room and the pillows were strategically placed to hide scuffs (and maybe dirt?) feom.what obviously used to be some kind of frame or headboard. Bed was pretty comfortable but I did not trust the linens based on the rest of the property. No bed bugs but severe staining of the mattress (to be expected but there didn't seem to now be a protector of any kind between the fitted sheet and the mattress). And there was no smoke alarm - the wiring had been covered up by a round of masking tape, presumably from painting, but never replaced.
All for $130 which felt outrageous. I couldn't even bear to sleep there. I left at like 3 am when I realized I was too uncomfortable to sleep."
