Kitchen, no tourist, near proper supermarket, local bakery, kind staffs and roof top sitting area at sister’s hotel nearby (free tea and coffee all day) Hotel is like a home stay, so comfortable, very bright, good space. "The best location 3 mins walk to Hagia Sophia 2 mins walk to Grand Bazaar 2 mins walk to tram stop 10 second to Burger king 😂and 1 minute walk to dozens of eateries. Mr Burhan Tesla and all staff were absolutely fantastic. Thank you Mr Tesla I'm sure you know who I am and make sure you book the recommended bosphorous cruise through Mr Burhan as it is awesome.. the rooms are spotless and cleaning is excellent. Good breakfast as well. I don't tend to so reviews but trust me you will not regret booking at Carina Gold. See you soon guys defo book at this hotel with my eyes closed and worry free. Enjoy your stay guys"

Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class

"This is a large traditional hotel in the Sultan Ahmed neighborhood within walking distance of the Blue Mosque and other tourist attractions. It is very close to the tram line. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but it did not seem a very lively place. The rooms are adequately furnished but not memorable. The restaurant on the sixth floor has spectacular views over Istanbul, but the food is nothing special. There is free coffee in the entrance hall, but the establishment does not serve alcohol."

"I stayed here twice - in September 2025 and again in May 2026 - and both stays were excellent. The staff are warm and professional, and the location is good for sightseeing by taxi, though less ideal for walking since the hotel sits on a hill. Nişantaşı is about 15 minutes away on foot, Dolmabahçe Palace around 10 minutes downhill, and Taksim Square roughly 15 minutes away. The hotel itself is fantastic, with a huge lobby, luxury boutiques, and one of the best Bosphorus views in Istanbul - especially from 16 Roof (reservations recommended). My suite was very large, with a dining table, several sofas and armchairs, and two bathrooms. Water pressure was excellent. Suite guests get Executive Lounge access, including breakfast, so there’s no need to pay extra for a breakfast package. The lounge breakfast is decent but somewhat limited by Turkish luxury-hotel standards. Breakfast in the main restaurant, however, is truly excellent and much more extensive. The hotel also has a very good gym plus indoor and outdoor pools. Very little to complain about. If I had to nitpick, the bathrooms lack a bidet, which feels surprising at this level of luxury. Also, outside breakfast and happy hour, the lounge offers relatively limited snacks and drinks. Overall, this is an outstanding five-star hotel and one of the best luxury-value options in Istanbul. Even as a long-time Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador/Titanium member, I would happily stay here again over many Marriott properties in the city."

"The property and staff was amazing, even when we didn't understand the "lighting" concept of the do not disturb, when I asked why house cleaning didn't come, they were so patient and immediately came to clean the room, for I was so appreciative. Room service and even security were amazing, so nice and patient. I would definitely begin my trip to Istanbul with this hotel again in the future, nothing compares even as we try different areas within Istanbul."

Elysian Airport Hotel & Restaurant

"The hotel is in a very out of the way location, half way down a very steep hill. There is no town around to explore, although there is a very nice cafe, with good priced authentic turkish food a few blocks up the hill. The hotel menu is adequate, but priced in Euros and pricey for Turkey. There is an Aeroport shuttle, Priced at 30 Euros for flights. The hotel is clean, modern, and bland. Good for an overnight stop, not a destination."
