Beautiful B&B, we had amazing time there! Historic building is well located, right in the old town. You can walk anywhere, great area. Rooms are very big with super high ceilings. Bathroom is also roomy, very nicely decorated. We found the whole building very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast is in a beutiful room, you get everything you need in the morning. Monteo (owner) is very helpful and caring. I travelled with my 2 children from US, and he made our stay very comfortable.

Posizione strategica in una location da sogno

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte per una rapida visita a Bergamo. L'ubicazione è strategica per raggiungere a piedi la città alta e anche la città bassa. Molto apprezzato il fatto di avere il parcheggio gratuito a disposizione. Antica dimora è situata in un palazzo del '500 che lascia senza fiato. Scaloni imponenti, soffitti altissimi, saloni affrescati. Ci si sente catapultati piacevolmente in un'epoca da sogno. Qualche piccolo dettaglio da migliorare (il materasso non è dei migliori e anche la doccia ha qualche pecca). Pulizia ok e colazione gradevole per la varietà offerta. Lo consiglio e penso di ritornare.

Lost of character

Definitely recommend, great little place with lots of character. Feels like you really are in Italy, you don't get that with many of the chain hotels. Also within easy working distance of the old walled city. Mateo the host is great.

We dont quite understand the high ratings of this B&B (which was the reason why we choose it) The landlord was unusually controlling and suspicious of our movement. There was not sufficient lighting in the sitting area of the room to enable reading. There was no heating during the day - which made the room quite cold during (mid nov) There was substantioal noise from the cars in the street every morning and evening. There was not tranportion to and from the airport as stated in the written description on hotels.com

A short walk to the old town

Mattel was very welcoming and helpful. Carrying our bags, ordering a taxi and providing a map. The 16th century building is beautiful. Quiet room overlooking the courtyard.

Väldigt fint hotell med stora rymliga rum och jättetrevlig personal. Gångavstånd till bergbanan upp till den äldre stan och nära till shoppinggatorna i nya. Säkert ställe att parkera bilen. Enda nackdelen var att det var lyhört för trafiken utanför.

The perfect base for visiting Bergamo

We chose to stay at this place when visiting Bergamo for a long weekend with friends and it was a great choice. The Antica Dimora is a bit outside of the High Town of Bergamo - 15 minutes walk or so - but benefits from being away from the bustle but well placed for both the older High Town and the well worth visiting Lower Town. The Antica Dimora is a small place full of charm and the host, Matteo, was really helpful. The breakfast was great and the rooms spacious and quiet, ours being on the inner courtyard side.

The hotel is very Central between old and new town. The location is great. Reception service is very limited. Breakfast is very good and in a stunning location. We enjoyed our big room, only downside were the very soft mattresses.
