"This review is regarding the Taj hotels cancellation policy. I had booked this hotel for 1 night however my flight to Bengaluru initially got delayed by a day and Expedia showed that I could still go ahead and cancel my booking and get a refund so I went ahead and cancelled but then later got to know that no refund will be issued since the cancellation occurred beyond their cut off time frame. I rebooked the same room in the same hotel for the same dates as I was put on an earlier flight after constant battling with the airlines. When Expedia tried to approach the hotel seeking a refund for my first booking they have declined the request. This is not fair when there is so much of uncertainity with the flight travel these days hotels must be considerate about the cancellations. And that too I have rebooked the same room for the same dates after my flight got rebooked but still the management is not ready to refund which is totally unfair."
"Check-in was speedy and efficient when we asked about transport to the airport very early the next morning. The car was available straight away at 3.50 am and the journey took just 5 mins at a cost of 590 rupees ( approx £5) . We thought that much easier than arranging a taxi at that time in the morning.
The man who delivered our luggage to the room was very helpful and the room was totally satisfactory with a good shower and bathroom. The bed and linens were very comfy.
In room dining was very good and the pizza was delivered in about 30mins. The person who delivered the food was very nice and would not accept a tip which I thought was exceptional.My only criticism was that I could not hear very well when I used the phone for in-room dining, I had to keep asking them to speak up."
