"The bulb in my bedside lamp failed during the night. On a whim, I mentioned this in my check-in review. (I idly wondered who reads these reviews anyway). Within 5 minutes I had a knock at the door - the lamp was fixed immediately. I was astounded. Not only do they read the reviews - they act on them. I intended to mention the bulb when I saw one of the staff. To me it wasn't that big a deal as I wouldn't need the light until that night. The reaction I received assured me that to the proprietors any infraction was something to be remedied at once. You can't buy that sort of dedication."

It feels like home and when we stay as we're not living in our family's pocket or expecting them to put t to accommodate us. "We are an older couple who like to have separate beds, even separate rooms. This suited us perfectly. 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, at either end of the cabin, and each with its own bathroom. We were there 2 nights, spending the day with friends who lived 10 minutes' drive away in Canberra's outer suburbs, so the location just over the border from the ACT in Sutton suited us perfectly too. We loved the nearby pub for dinner and the Sutton Bakehouse for breakfast. We appreciated the generous carton of milk for making tea and coffee, and the big screen TV. It was Canberra in July, and down to minus temperatures overnight, but the central wall-mounted heater worked well enough. The only negative was the floor could have done with a sweep, and the bathroom fittings needed a going over with Ajax. I scrubbed my shower taps because they were grimy. Also, the tap over the sink in my bathroom dripped noisily and I had to put a cloth under it to muffle the noise. You could turn the tap off very tight, but then it was almost impossible to turn back on! But the bedroom layout made it very good value for us."
