Founded in 1807 by John Harding, “Belle Meade” translates to mean beautiful meadow in old English and French. The property began with just a single log cabin and 250 acres. The estate quickly grew to become a 5,400 acre thoroughbred horse farm complete with a Greek Revival Mansion, deer park, train station and rock quarry which supported five generations of owners.

Centrally located, just a few blocks from Broadway. Parking is not free and the lot was full most of the time, but there was an overflow lot nearby. We would have loved an airport shuttle.

Great hotel, 6-stars for location. Walking distance to absolutely everything but just far enough away from the main hustle and bustle. Rooms were we'll equiped and a decent size. We didn't eat at the bar so can't comment on that. Would highly recommend.
