"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. Lawrence offered us a ride...

"This is one of the best properties in the city. The bathroom was the best I saw while visiting the other shops/businesses. The staff is great; they provide a home cooked breakfast everyday and it is a spread for only one person cooking it! Your AC works great, only the room is AC. The bathroom is open air. There is no elevator and the the rooms are either on the 2nd floor or 3rd floor FYI. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Galapagos. This place offered great luxury and enhanced our stay in the islands."

"We had such an amazing stay at Hotel Angermeyer, I can't wait to go back. Everything was perfect - the staff was wonderful (thank you David and Maria for being so welcoming throughout our stay!). The restaurant was delicious with amazing sea views including sharks and seals, and we wound up eating several meals there. They were kind enough to pack us breakfast to-go on days when we had early excursions, and helped us call water taxis both early in the morning and when we stayed out late. The rooms were nice and big and had lovely amenities, and our turndown service was such a nice touch. If you are worried about the location not being on the main strip of town, don't be - it was always super easy to grab a $1 water taxi, and there was a nice beach a short walk away. Hotel Angermeyer can't be missed!"

"I highly recommend this hotel. It is very clean and staff is very friendly. The air conditioning worked great and we were very comfortable in our rooms. The rooftop restaurant is very good and is very scenic. We had breakfast there and wished we would have had dinner there too. Good location. Highly recommend."
