Belize City hotel rooms a the Wyndham Hotels

"Small, new, modern hotel with a nicely landscaped pool area located near the Sir Barry Bowen Municipal airport. The communication with the hotel via Expedia messaging was excellent. They got in touch a couple of weeks beforehand, and I was sent information on how to access my room the day before arrival. The room was relatively large and included a kitchenette. Everything was like new."

"The pictures are a bit deceiving!! The condition of property and rooms are very different from the pictures posted. My room had a rotten egg smell that never went away. If you’re just passing through it would be good for one night. I booked for 4 nights and had to ask repeatedly for housekeeping. Even after reaching out to the host about it I had to go find him to finally get service. But besides that the shower was amazing the water got very hot."

"Rooms are modest/rustic but clean. We were able to stay an extra night but had to move from a suite to a cabana. The cabana was not level and felt like you were leaning. The mattresses in both were old and had springs that poked you while sleeping. The staff at the cafe on Sunday were shady; they told us to bring them our food and drinks and they would cook/serve them for us. We never got them back, and they charged us for a meal! I would not go back again."

"The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but the location was not great. The road in front of the hotel is very busy and loud. Our room was located almost on the road and the “window” we had looked out to a hallway. It was challenging to get any sleep. The food at the restaurant was okay. "

"We stayed two nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable though a little on the extra firm side, The pillows were definitely hard, more so than any hotel I've ever stayed. Overall, comfortable stay and close to the water taxi (within easy walkable distance for us), and the airport. Drawbacks: They put us in a room with a window that was blacked out, that side of their hotel is right up against their new building. There was no mention in the listings about what are essentially windowless rooms. At check-in the desk person also did not mention there is not a functioning window. The other irk was that the front desk staff, while I was standing there trying to figure out how to get cash for a taxi to the airport (my bank card wasn't working and the taxi's do not take credit cards), never mentioned they have a shuttle that does airport runs. We had to find out from other guests who happened to be on a day tour we did. The rooftop restaurant is nice. Food is good. Drinks are good. Great views from the outdoor terrace side. Staff was friendly and attentive. "

"All amenities were excellent. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. My 1 concern was the Tuesday night 18 March entertainment volume was way too loud. The entertainment person refuse to lower the volume even after patrons & staff asked them to do so."
