"This could be something so special. The location itself is amazing and the accommodation for ‘camping’ is incredible. The service wasn’t great however. As kind as everyone was the timings were very off. Being told we needed to be ready for breakfast at 8 and not being served till 9.30. The same for dinner. "The building looks lovely and the grounds are beautiful BUT the room wasn’t great , the bathroom had an old shower curtain and the shower was above the bath. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was small and dark. it was my birthday and there was no mention of this even though my husband had given advanced information. The buffet and dining room looked spectacular but the food quality wasn’t what we were expecting given the visual wow factor. My least favourite hotel whilst staying in Sri Lanka. "

"Everything was outstanding, the staff was friendly, extremely polite and made sure everything was to our liking. We splurged in the dinner train experience. It was well worth the extra.
