Situated in Central Belgrade, Tašmajdan Park's history longs to Roman Empire. Stones were extracted from this park, hence Taš (meaning stone in Turkish) and majdan (meaning mining in Turkish). Main attraction at the park is the beautiful St. Marko Church, the second largest church in Belgrade. These beautiful nostalgic trams are operating from the park and they shine perfectly amidst heavy snow. #LifeAtExpedia

The fortress of Belgrade
Alter and iconostasis of St Mark’s Church in Belgrade. Floor and iconostatis frame are made from marble. The icons are mosaic. The apolielei, ring holding candles, is made from copper. Though the church was built between 1931 and 1940 the interior is still not fully completed.
