"Great staff, elegant facility. Be aware that english is a little rough or not existent with some overnight staff. (thats ok with us). We enjoyed the relative proximity to bodegas and Hwy 7 (mountain access). The kitchen amenities/utensils, tools etc are pretty sparse but we made due with simple dinners for 4 nights. Breakfast served to room! Loved the corner room with two sliders to a great balcony with great views. Would stay here again. Had a strange situation with the shower splashing...

"We loved our stay; staff were amazing (especially Tomas & Balti), food was fantastic. The glam camps were so cute with breathtaking views, the entire place is magical. If you are using their transport be sure to confirm times as we often found ourself waiting but overall fantastic stay! Insider tip be sure to
check out Cuarto Dominio for a tasting as that was a highlight of our stay!"

"Our first time in Argentina, and our stay at Viamonte has inspired us to return. This resort has exceptional hospitality and perfect location if you choose to utilize the bike trails through the valley, or walk to restaurants (although their own on-site restaurant is very good with spectacular Andes view). Don't understand why October is considered low season, but no complaints on rates - a true value, and the weather was perfect. While we prefer to supply our stock with Douro reds versus AR...

Don't understand why October is considered low season, but no complaints on rates - a true value, and the weather was perfect. While we prefer to supply our stock with Douro reds versus AR malbecs, the Mendoza rose is enjoyable and Patagonian gins were surprise discovery. Viamonte rooms are nicely appointed and beautiful grounds. We also stayed in chichi boutique hotel in Buenos Aires, but preferred the clean elegance of Viamonte. Highly recommend. "
"Excellent!! Beautiful property and area! All the staff was extremely helpful, polite and friendly! Marcela and the kitchen staff were very attentive, friendly and so caring! The food was great and the hotel is so peaceful and beautiful. Loved the nature all around and the views of The Andes! The area is walkable and has safe access for bikes which was great to visit bodegas a bit further. We absolutely loved the days we spent there… 3 nights were not enough! Will recommend and will be back! "
"The pros:
- Room, bed, bath, shower, firepit & patio, all 10/10. We loved sitting outside with the firepit, the waitstaff in the evening were fantastic, and had one of the best massages of my life in the comfort of my room. What they get right they really get right!!
The cons: We were given an incorrect menu 4 times during our short 3-night stay, so meant we weren’t able to order *any* cocktails or most of the food on the menu that we’d selected, multiple times. This includes even a menu I was handed *in* the restaurant and was then told was out of date… and the service was awful at times. It was often impossible to find waitstaff during the day, they didn’t monitor their WhatsApp particularly well, and we found communication with the front desk really poor - we tried booking tastings & meals and never received info, even after asking repeatedly - and the laundry service ruined some very expensive clothing by ignoring the care labels.
Finally, they charge an insane amount for own-label wines - almost 50% more than at the winery itself. It’s a lovely property but at the price they are charging they should be impeccable and it felt very much like we were “soft launch” guests. It’s a lovely property but unfortunately would not recommend - the flaws were so great that it couldn’t justify the cost. They are clearly are targeting a premium market but need serious work before demanding the price they are."
