Upon arrival, we were taken with what looked like cute bungalows, but upon entering things quickly changed. The bungalow smelled of very offensive body odor, a scent that did not leave for our overnight stay. The shower never got warm even after waiting for many minutes given it was solar powered and there was no bottled water in the room for brushing teeth. Later in the evening, multiple 2-3 inch cockroaches appeared and that was it for me. We were supposed to stay two night but left after one due to the poor cleanliness conditions. One positive was the bartender. He made delicious cocktails and was very happy.
Limited hotel choice in this region, but suggest you avoid staying here. We had booked into a "superior room with garden view" and were instead given a room in the dingiest darkest corner of the property overlooking a rusty iron fence in what felt like a dorm-room complex far from the pool and restaurant (after complaining we were given a much better room).
The restaurant staff were useless and could barely serve dinner and breakfast or understand instructions. The food was below average and some of the worst we've had on this trip.
The toilets next to the restaurant weren't cleaned regularly and always had full bins with used toilet paper and most of the time were out of paper.
We'd booked for 3 nights but could only stay for 2, and although staff at reception confirmed that we'd only be charged for 2 nights they failed to inform the payments team, so we were charged for the full 3 nights, and they didnt seem to care.
The manager swans around at dinner making small talk with guests but doesn't seem to actually manage anything, or train staff, or maintain high standards. Our guide told us that the manager had hit one of the drivers for daring to provide a bottle of water to their guest, because the hotel wanted to charge extra for the water, so now none of the guides and drivers want to stay here. They were rude to our guide and driver and didn't provide them with accommodation, which is against usual practice for hotels in Madagascar.

Hyggelig personale og god mat
Veldig hyggelig personale men meget enkelt standard på bungalowen. God mat

We were hoping the bad reviews were from a long time ago. But sadly this place is quite bad.
1. No hot water for our 2 day stay.
2. Reception staff member wasn’t helpful with all the problems and just straight up lied to my face multiple times - we booked a king room and they took us to a triple room and then had to change to the room we booked.
We also had no power and no hot water after our hike and he didn’t seem to care.
3. Bed is ok. Pillows are terrible.
4. Lots of noise from roosters and dogs in the morning.
5. Wifi didn’t work during our stay
6. Vegan and gluten free dinner was boiled carrots and beans with plain rice and a pumpkin sauce for 24,000 per plate. It wasn’t nice at all.
7. The pool looked pretty green. Not sure if it’s cleaned properly.
There aren’t many options in Tsingy but I would probably try somewhere else.
Heed this warning. While researching, I'd seen the negative reviews, but thought, "oh, you can't please everyone. It will be fine." But no! It was NOT fine. It was awful, uncomfortable, and we were mistreated. We had reserved a "superior room with veranda". However, somehow we ended up in a room all the way down huge hill (with many slanting, daunting steps to go up to reach lobby/pool) It was not one of their bungalows on the entrance level. These rooms were near the employee quarters/compound. And they do NOT care about their guests down there. They claim 24 hour power but absolutely don't believe it. It's when they choose to let you have it...changes daily. And they make many excuses and put you off when you ask about it. Generator/solar power switches over at 5am, making room suddenly warm and will need to get up and switch settings back over...but many times, it didn't switch over and you are left hot and unable to sleep. Warm shower water never occurred and at times, NO WATER at all. That happened 2-3 times. And to get water or electricity, remember you have to climb all those awful slanting steps. Complete exhaustion in the heat. No Wifi in rooms, and sometimes not even in lobby. Pros: Looks great from outside. Lots of workers beautifying grounds, but the fake uncaring smiley French owner is wasting property's potential . Good restaurant staff. Nice pool. Note: 2 excellent hotels on each side: The Soleil de Tsingy and L'Orchidée and recommend those instead.

Distressing water and electricity woes.
Very poor breakfast
We didn’t stay because our car had (technical) problems - did not make it to Bekopaka... we notified the hotel to explain our situation but no reaction. So we payed for nothing 😟
The hotel is amazing and the sunset in the pool fantastic, but we had a problem with the shower and after telling the staff they didn't no anything. The WiFi works very bad.
Beautiful property. We had the cheaper accommodation with shared bathrooms. It was fine considering the price. We only wish we had a power source in the bedroom to charge our devices. Also the food wasn't very good at the restaurant.

We weren' t on the check in list, so it took a lot of time before we had a bungalow. The towels smelt very bad, there was no water at the time we had to wake up to take the convoy. The water was switched on half an hour later. The service is bad. The food is ok, not very good. The price of the wine is very high, higher than in Soleil des Tsingy.
