Staff services were very good. Clean and quiet. Some hardware are out of date. Such as tv are very old with unclear pictures. Bathroom tub and floor need replaced.
The hotel rooms are old, but what really bothers me is the unfriendly hotel staff. As I was traveling with four suitcases and two children, I asked the hotel reception to help us order a taxi. I was told they don't offer such a service (amazing). We ended up standing on the side of the road with two children for almost 20 minutes in 33°C heat, but weren't lucky enough to get one. I had to go back to the hotel and in the end one of the doormen walked us to the curb. I could say if you are a foreigner do not stay in this hotel. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in Beijing and this is by far the worst. Very disappointed and definitely not up to a four star hotel.
The location is convenient, service is great! people are friendly and did walk extra mile (not literally) to help international travelers on getting taxi and other stuff. (local people just get these done using their phones). room service was provided though I left the "do not disturb" light on. No big deal, I should've told front desk no service is needed.
Good value. Kind staff. Found a hair from previous guest in the sink but otherwise clean. Nice staff. One person spoke English. Not much in the surrounding area but there is a nice river walk near by. We picked it because it was relatively close to the Beijing West Railway station. Initial nonsmoking room smelled like smoke but staff were very accommodating in moving us to a different room that was free of the smell of smoke. The hotel’s English name was a little difficult to search for on Apple/Google Maps
At first i was skeptical of the hotel. 9 minths ago i stayed at the Sofitel across the street which is newer and more modern; however, I was pleasanlty surpirised. The rooms were a bit dated, but the size of the free upgraded suite, including a parlour and separate bedroom, with a great-sized bathroom which included a large rub and separate shower stall. The water alwaya had great water pressure but sometimes lacked instant heat in the early morning hours. Other than that, the service was great and the housekeeper made it a priority to provide clean towels and insisted on cleaning the room, when the do not disturb sign was on door (she never forced the issue but was persistent and always kind). The only two things I'd suggest to control is the daily barrage of "massage" requests and the fact that taxi's from the hotel often have to be told to run meter instead of trying to negotiate an often higher fare.
The staff were friendly and food was OK. Room cleaning is fine but some need improvements. For example, Once I used shoe cleaning fabrics, next time I can't find the fabrics in the room. So I used the tissue at the toilet for polishing my shoes. Overall is OK.
There is one thing that I never understand and stand. There is a big noise where the construction site near by using air compressor during 1~4 am. I burnt a whole night 29 September.
