"Polite staff, good service and knowledgeable of the area. Property could do with some general attention, as it looks tired. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was also very good, with a good selection. Would definitely recommend to others"

"The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I had concerns about staying in a pub because of noise only this was not the case. Location great and we were back in time for a night cap. Also thought the double (used to king size at home) was going to be uncomfortable thankfully it wasn’t. We didn’t realise shampoos etc were in the landing our fault as we collected the key earlier than check in and returned later that night. We hope to return next year if we go to the Wessex Folk Festival....

"Everything from check in, dinner, the surroundings and my room were perfect. The breakfast experience in my opinion was poor. The staff member was rushed and lacked customer service. She was on her own so maybe needed a helping hand and a little extra training. Other than that the experience was a 10/10"

"Generally very good. Kept awake by sluice/fall of water outside window! The outside of the inn looked shabby which was not inviting and didnt match the quality of the inside."

"Booked a mid-week night away, our first stay here. Delighted with what we found: - good sized room (but would be good to have a socket or 2 by the bed). Clean and comfortable. Welcoming staff & owner. Good menu selection for our evening meal there. Right next to harbour and our room had sea views. Amazing breakfast - so much choice and loads. Even a residents car park. Would go back again."

"Staff was helpful and the room was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were fine. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the hotel, but there was an absolute terrible stench outside when we arrived, it could actually still be smelled in the room. It eventually died down but never went away"
