"Check-in was fast & easy, there was plenty of parking near our room. Some rooms are accessed from the parking lot, others by stairs or a ramp (which ours was). We had a partial water view balcony, which was small but still nice, but only 1 chair. The room was basic but clean. The mattress was on the firmer side, but the pillow was super-firm (think rock) the 2nd pillow on the bed was flat & flimsy. Neither was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, EXCEPT for 1 thing-the big wad of hair on the shower drain! So gross! I'd like to say I'd stay here again, but I shouldn't have to bring my own pillows or clean somebody's hair from the drain. "

"On site parking and on site Mexican restaurant. No pool, no exercise room, and one antique elevator which can only be manned by staff. IF you call and IF they answer. Not walking distance to downtown."

"Decent stay, good for the price. Room and bed were clean enough, some dusty spots but nothing to scare us off. No AC so we had to open the slider to get air, that would be my only complaint. Nice location across from the harbor."

"Sweet historic vibes. Outstanding walkable location. Great outdoor space out back. Nice staff. Comfy bed. If you’re not used to noise, the property can be a bit noisy. And though we appreciate ‘historic’, the rooms lean more towards deeply outdated than ‘vintage’. We would go again for the live music and a few drinks. But probably would choose to stay somewhere a bit more off the beaten path."

"This is the second time I’ve stayed here - I love it so much. I’ve stayed in two rooms and they both were wonderful - I couldn’t ask for nicer rooms. The history of this place is fascinating and it supports an amazing non-profit. Spending time with Emileigh is a joy. "

"It’s called the Belmont Hotel on all the travel sites but when you get there, they say through the phone that it’s called Vacasa. This hotel is not open when you peek inside the windows of the hotel and front desk and no one around to assist. We had numerous calls trying to get someone to help us and everyone informed us they couldn’t help us until 4 o’clock when we could use a code that would be emailed to us privately to get into the hotel. Then we would need additional codes to get into a room. When we asked other vendors about the hotel, they all told us that it’s run from outside of country. When we called and actually got somebody on the phone, accents were very difficult to understand, and they were very impatient. We asked if we could park our car because we had arrived a few hours earlier and they told us that we have to pay for street parking. Little did I know until after I booked the hotel it was booked by the hotel through Expedia. I would’ve never booked through them had I known this. I was with two sisters that had traveled across country to visit me and I was so happy to take them up to Port Townsend in Washington state. It was a horrible experience and if you find yourself stranded, the Palace Hotel across the street is wonderful. Virginia "
