We loved the location of the Hocher Hotel. Checkin is 1:00 and since it is an automated machine it is helpful to wait to arrive at this time or after and checkin would be easy. It is such a wonderful city to visit, sightsee, have incredible German food, walk around and enjoy! The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The owner Mike is a very gracious host of this small hotel. It was nice at breakfast as you are able to visit with the other guests. Mike is so kind to help if you need anything. Would strongly recommend staying here.

Es war ein angenehmer aufenthalt. Der Vorteil war das das Restaurant auch im Hotel war aber leider meistens ausgebucht war. Aber man konnte trotzdem Essen aufs Zimmer bestellen.

Lovely hotel near the Festspielhaus

This is a sweet hotel within easy walking distance of the Festspielhaus. It is very old fashioned though and has not been updated for many, many years which its the only thing against it. Carpets are from the 1970s and the bathroom suites are the same. They really do need to spend some money on the detail and refresh this place. However - it is very comfortable and very clean. The staff are lovely and all speak perfect English. Breakfast buffet was definitely worth the 7 euros extra (though at festival room prices this should really be included) I had a great stay here.
