Some time after making the reservation I called to ask how to check-in given that it said there is no front desk and I didn't receive any instructions. I was told in German they are fully booked, despite having a confirmed reservation (and the hotels.com website having several rooms there). "Nicly situated hotel with beautiful view over Bodenmais. Pool, sauna, garden, restaurant and bar at the hotel. New proprietors (June 2025) which did everything to make us feel welcome and at home. A lot of out door activities avaliable in vicinity. Summer rodel was on our 12-year top list. Staying at Luca in Bodenmais gave access to a local activity card which gave really good discounts on a lot of activities - for instance was two tours with summer rodel at Silberberg, ski lift and tour in...

"Its fine and certainly well located, but very basic. Sheets pretty rough and the towel had been left in a washer too long. Very musty smelling. Be warned, hotel is right under bell tower and you do hear it throughout the night if window is open."
