"perfetta! My daughter and I stayed here and we absolutely loved it! The room was very cute, the shower was great, and everything was so clean! I found the location to be perfect, not in the middle of the piazza (which is very lovely and fun at night) but very close. We walked everywhere. "We loved staying at your property. Although Matera has many winding streets, Alessia was wonderful and directed us right to the parking area. The option to park on the street or use the garage for a nominal fee was very convenient. The property was extremely clean, and the included breakfast was excellent—especially the delicious made-to-order eggs. Our room was a lovely cave suite with an extra bed, which was perfect since our daughter surprised us by joining from London. The location in the Sassi area is fantastic, offering amazing views right outside the door."

Staying in a beautifully restored historic cave in the heart of Matera was such a unique and magical experience. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and full of character, while still being very comfortable. The staff were absolutely wonderful—warm, friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Breakfast was also fantastic, with fresh local food and excellent service. The location in the Sassi is incredible, and simply stepping outside the hotel feels like stepping back in time. More than just a hotel, Sextantio really feels like part of the Matera experience. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it!"

"Great property in an outstanding location near an entrance to the Matera Sassi. Clean rooms and comfortable beds were nice to stay in. In addition to the Sassi access and hotel cleanliness, the breakfast was truly outstanding. It featured a variety of coffees, pastries and fruits along with other breakfast items in an attractive, large dining room. The desk is attended at all times and the building is secured at night. My only mild criticism is better information on parking prior to check in would be a plus. A secured garage is under the hotel and available for $20 Euro per might. I'd stay there again, both for the hotel and the ancient attractions of Matera."
