"Nice campsite for a few nights. Good restaurant, staff and facilities. However, we booked a 4 person Comfort Cottage for a week but we given a 6 person Modern Cottage without explanation. The extra room was a bonus but I’m glad there were only 4 of us as 6 would have felt very cramped. The Modern Chalet style wasn’t what we booked nor particularly wanted however we we glad to have a covered balcony as it rained for half our stay. "We were in a cabin for 5 in a lovely position, very secluded with excellent views. Parking was convenient next to the cabin. Interior was clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The site was a bit run down but it was early season and the bar area and outside seating looked like if could be tidied up and be comfortable. The toilets and shower facilities for campers also looked practical and clean. The location was excellent with San pee 10...

Résidence Vacances Bleues Le Grand Large

10/10 Excellent

"We had an amazing view from our very spacious room and could see/hear the waves coming into the beach from our balcony. Everything was comfortable. We paid extra for our breakfast - which was satisfactory. The staff at reception were really helpful, showing us the best way to restaurants and recommending options. The hotel is a short walk from the old town, yet in a quiet area. I wasn't so keen on the lack of a wash hand basin in the separate toilet."

"Hôtel ideally situated , central and close to beach. Very welcoming reception and great breakfast. We opted for the most economical accommodation and weren’t expecting any view but what was a shame was it was noisy. We were above a service entrance and were woken early by deliveries. Lot of water pipe noise from rooms above as well during the night."

"Très déçus de notre séjour de 2 nuits au Grand Tonic Hôtel & SPA. Cet hôtel ne mérite clairement pas ses 4 étoiles. Dès la première chambre, nous avons constaté des murs abîmés, des finitions moisies et un état général loin du standing attendu. Nous avons même pris une chambre Deluxe pour la deuxième nuit en pensant avoir une meilleure expérience, mais à part les toilettes séparées de la salle de bain, il n’y avait aucune réelle différence. Beaucoup de points négatifs : bruit constant, très mauvaise isolation (on entend tous les bruits du couloir dès le matin), télévision qui ne fonctionne pas, café vraiment mauvais… Résultat : un séjour loin d’être reposant et très fatigant. Concernant la piscine, énorme déception également : elle est minuscule comparée aux photos mises en avant par l’hôtel, qui sont clairement trompeuses. En plus, l’eau était froide, ce qui n’a pas du tout rendu le moment agréable. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel pour un week-end en amoureux, mais malheureusement l’expérience a été très décevante du début à la fin."

"Breakfast was lovely and plentiful with freshly-squeezed orange juice. Room was very comfortable - we had asked for room on a low floor, which we got. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk from the very sandy beach and the bay surfers enjoy. It's also a couple of hundred yards from the town centre, a nightclub and post office. We ate each evening at the Bistrot Angeluan at the end of nearby Rue de la Bergerie. The staff there were very friendly and helpful - especially Josephine who speaks excellent English which she self-taught."
