It’s so close to the central station, there’s a lot of dining options in the area, and there’s also a tram that pass by. Very accessible to a lot of places.

Efficient hotel room in a charming city

We checked in at the front desk and took an elevator to our room. We enjoyed seeing Basal the next day using free public transportation. It is a very nice town. We chose not to have breakfast, but I didn’t see where you could grab a cup of coffee. There was no coffee or tea in our room.

An enjoyable stay enhaced by a friendly reception

We arrived early hoping to check in our bags. Instead the reception manager arranged an early check in, provided tourist information and a Basel Card which gave us free transport and a 50% reduction at tourist attractions. In all this saved us a great deal and assisted us enjoying the tourist sites. The room was very comfortable and located close to the station. I regret that I did not catch the reception manager name so I coud thank him properly but will describe him as a sports lover.

Good location within walking distance of the riverside area. Hotel does have parking but there are two issues to beware of. Firstly there are no directions to the entrance or instructions about how to enter. Also the entrance is very very steep and cars with limited ground clearance will not safely exit without grounding !!!

Position of the shower head points towards the door. After taking a shower water was all over the floor outside meaning there must be a leak or that the door is not well insulated to prevent water from flowing out. Mat towel was wet and had to wipe dry the floor. What an inconvenience.

Good choice

Great hotel near the SBB station. Staff super friendly and helpful. We stayed there one night before getting to the airport the next morning. They also offer a city : free access to public transportation. So you don't have to pay for the bus to the airport.

Great stopover.
