"Our room was small but lovely, with a very good shower and lots of clean towels. The continental breakfast was plentiful and shared with other guests in the breakfast room. All the staff we met were friendly and polite, treating locals and guests with the same respect and courtesy. Our evening meal was delicious, with tasty vegetarian options as well as lots of meat/fish on offer and the draught cider was especially welcome in the heat! We found this place by chance but we definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again."

"Beautiful old hotel. Lovely breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Stayed during the heatwave last week so bedrooms were incredibly hot but fans and bottles of iced water provided. No air conditioning which would have helped enormously but did not spoil our stay. Foyer and lounge areas coolest part of hotel. Would definitely stay again, though hopefully not in a heatwave next time."

"What stood out in this experience was the kindness of the staff and the focus on customer care. We had an issue during our stay and the tool great care. Beside that, in our case staying here during the hottest days of the year with record temperatures which they were clearly not prepared to handle didn’t help.
