This was a great place to stay to be within walking distance of Khaosan Rd (~10 mins), Grand Palace & Wat Pho (~30 mins)
Room was clean, breakfast was convenient!
Perfect place to start off my vacation in Thailand. The place was perfectly clean and the staff was friendly. Good breakfast. The location was also great to start exploring. Nice food options in the area as well.
A really lovely hotel. It was modern and clean and the staff were helpful and approachable. They also offered a selection of day trips that could be booked via reception which made things easy.
Although we didn't have time to watch them ourselves, the film showings were a nice touch.
Outstanding staff, has some issue with room and staff change to new room with upgrade very happy with new room, also travel guide at lobby was extremely helpful with information we need.
I liked the staff, very nice and courteous. The rooms are nice and clean.
the location wasn't convenient, seems far from the center and to shopping centers.
Can not say enough amazing things about this property! Everything was close and within walkable distances. The food is amazing! The cute balconies with daily movies! Clean and spacious rooms! And Mike at the travel desk! I will be coming back to this hotel, absolutely fantastic!
Charming hotel, lovely pool, high quality beds, super clean. Breakfast could be better but sufficient for me. Mini alistic approach done well. 10 mins to Rambutri.
Staff is very kind and smiling. The building is not so dirty. There are some restaurants and a famous street near this hotel. However I had difficulty in access, so I used taxi.
We’ve stayed here before and we had the same experience this time, this is a wonderful hotel to stay at in Bangkok. The area is really nice, it’s relatively quiet but there are still plenty of food and drink options, it’s walking distance to khao San road for livelier bars as well. The free breakfast buffet is really nice and the welcome drink is a lovely touch. You can go to the rooftop bar next door for sunset as well which is beautiful. We used the pool this time and found it really relaxing. The hotel has a tour desk as well so they can help you book things to do if you wanted to explore a bit more, but if you’re in Bangkok for a layover or you’ve been before and just want to relax this is the perfect spot to stay.
We had a fantastic time at Samsen Street and would definitely visit again! The ambience was top tier and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Plus, its tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but has many resteraunts around the corner and Khao San is easily walkable. Plus, we loved the rooftop bar at the sister hotel across the street.
The room itself was very stylish and had good facilities. We did find a discarded razor below a shelf and our towel did pick up some dirt when it fell on the floor.
I would also recommend having a way of finding out which movies will play in the evening as we loved the concept but didn't want to plan our evening around a movie that we may not like.
Overall, we had a great time and would recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
First the good: Great area - Samsen has several streets that are basically tourist oriented with lots of restaurants, shops,etc... and it's an easy walk to Kaosan Rd and close to other attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, the pool area was nice and it was clean and well maintained. Now for the not so good: very hard mattress on the bed, the A/C was either too cold or when off was too hot (no middle ground), the toilet didn't work well and there was pretty audible music until about 10pm or so which didn't bother me but kept my wife awake. So, all in all it was ok but not great.
Nice hotel and hostel in the same building, had a pool and a big projector for movies.
The staff could have been nicer, I had a very bad cough (I had to sit up for two nights), I asked for water about 2 am and they said “sorry, we don’t have”. I said I’ll pay for it, if that would have been the issue, but no they just told me no sorry. They said I could go I buy water.. And the day I checked out, I saw a lot of water bottles in the luggage area.. That is nothing else then just bad service and no compassion for other people..
