This place was amazing. The room was very comfortable with a very chic boutique style. The room was very clean and there was no street noise. A great selection for breakfast. The main sights were walking distance and there are many good restaurants in the immediate area. Highly recommended.
The decor was nice and the handling of negative situations was good. The breakfast was the best every morning freshly made. There were a few issues at the start but once a complaint was made it was handled quickly and professionally. The location was not great for transport as it is in the old town part of Bangkok. Nevertheless, it's a lovely place to stay and would return here if staying in the old town part of Bangkok.
Nira's was a great hostel to stay at. The place was super cute- loved the old elevator, the coffee shop, and our private room. Place was clean and a d the free breakfast was great. I would stay at Nira's again. Nira's staff was also went above and beyond. I booked the wrong dates and they helped us out without.
Doesn't really have a hostel feel. There are no areas to socialize nor do they organize social events like walking tours or pub crawls. The staff don't speak English very well and they seemed to be understaffed so it took a while to check in. The room was clean and the location is within walking distance to the Royal palace which is nice.
So nice staff! All of them just very helpful and friendly. The hostel is cute with vintage decor and love everywhere you look and offers much comfort. It's almost in the centre, you can walk around there and see a lot by feet.
I have to say that I'm disappointed that our expedia-reservation was not recorded in their system when we arrived although we made our reservation for a Double Ensuite Room already 2 months prior to arrival! Staff was confused and had to check back several times with their manager. In the end, the general solution provided was very fair: Instead, we were given a 6-bed dorm room which we did NOT have to share with anyone else. Moreover, they even refunded the price difference. The dorm rooms are located in a different building across the street. Bedrooms and shared bathrooms were clean. Beds as well. But maybe a bit hard (subjectively). In our dorm room, the nightly sound level from the street was clearly audible even though the locked window did not point towards the street. For any temperature adjustment, we had to pick up the AirCon remote from the ground floor. And had to bring it back directly after because there seemed to be only one remote control for all AirCons in this building. Maybe that's the reason why sometimes the temperature had changed "magically". Well, this logic did not become accessible to me. The man sitting at the ground floor entrance hall could not be consulted referring to this matter because English was not one of his skills. Breakfast is good and coffee tastes great. All in all, Niras is a good hostel with an appealing interior design. However, there is some room for improvement and our reservation problem was hopefully part of their learning curve.
Like the title above, magical I think is the only word I can come up with to describe our 5 days stay. Upon our arrival my girlfriend and I were greeted with a warm friendly welcome from the staffs, and have stayed this way until the minute we left. The hostel is in a good spot as within 15 mins you'd be able to reach most attractions in the old district, everything is clean and the attention to details is flawless. The only complaint i can come up with is that the aircon didnt have a remote to come with it and the tv wasnt working, not that it mattered though. For me the true jewel of the place is the staff and the atmosphere it creates. Leaving was difficult and I miss the place already...if you have a heart of a backpacker this is a place you must visit.
Hard beds - location is far away from everything. One stained towel each for the two night stay. Bed sheets had hairs on them on arrival. Only redeeming thing is that it is located on the same street as the best Pad Thai restaurant in Bangkok. Thi Samai.
