We absolutely loved our stay here! Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful and they really looked after us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to everyone! The location is perfect as it’s so close to places like Wat Arun, Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and more!

Aurum The River Place is a wonderful hotel. Close to the Royal Palace and water taxis. Good value. My only request would be to have more breakfast options for vegan/vegetarians.

Our Bangkok Hotel Experience

Pan took amazing care of us from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. Excellent and covenient location. Clean and comfy room. Delicious breakfast. And mostly importantly, Pan’s warmth, big heart, and hospitality made our stay absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much, Pan! :)

Aurum The River Place is a wonderful hotel. Close to the Royal Palace and water taxis. Pan is a super incredible hostess. She makes your stay comfortable and convenient. My only request would be to have more breakfast options for vegan/vegetarians.

The hotel is less than 10 min walk to Metro Blue Line (use exit 5) and Rajinee Pier where you can get the hop on hop off ferry to Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, Khao San Road, IconSiam, Asiatique, and other places. It is on a quiet side street near the flower market which is lovely. Room was spacious with excellent A/C. Breakfast is at the adjacent cafe which is right on the river and nice for watching all the boat traffic, with a beautiful view of Wat Arun. The Thai Breakfast was excellent. Service at the hotel was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel if you don’t mind that the neighborhood isn’t “upscale” - it’s so convenient to transit and many things to see and do.

I stayed here three nights for visit to Bangkok then departed for pattaya. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Ms Pan… was fantastic. The breakfast was good all three days. The hotel is near the water .. no views of wat arun. I really wanted a night time view or even day time view of wat arun or the river. The hotel itself is very clean but older. I think the price is good value $105 a night for king sized bed and breakfast . But no good view of river or wat arun. I left Bangkok and stayed at lebua which was old and overpriced and finally found a great hotel called the standard in Bangkok which was my favorite!

Homely Hotel Close To Historic Sites

The hotel had a wonderful at-home feel. The room with river view completely met our needs: clean, tidy, cold air conditioning and a lovely bath. We received a warm welcome when checking in and were given great advice on historic places to see in the old town. We stayed four nights and enjoyed every moment of it. The breakfast beside the river was delightful! And there was a choice of English and Thai breakfasts. We tried both, and they were delicious. We particularly loved the Thai breakfast that was served with chilled butterfly flower water. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough, and being walking distance to all of the historic sites, it made for exciting days exploring. Thank you to the hotel team for everything they did to make our stay enjoyable.

This is a beautiful hotel in a very walkable area, close to the Palace, Wat Pho, and the ferry that takes you to Wat Arun. That being said, the real treasure is Pan, or as we like to call her Auntie Pan. Auntie Pan really makes your stay truly special, and i know it may sound cliché, but it really did feel we were staying with family. She is a wealth of information, and will happily guide and arrange things for you, as an auntie would. Its easy to find hotels close to the sights, or with gorgeous rooms and amenities, but Auntie Pan is truly the number one reason, i would suggest someone to stay here. Thank you Auntie !!!

Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Aurum The River Place. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel at home. Pam and her ladies are amazing. They provide the best customer service. Pam is always available to answer any and all questions and provides helpful information. The rooms are kept very clean. The breakfast is delicious. Our room was spacious and quiet. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a great view from our balcony. Great showers. The hotel is centrally located. It is walking distance to many tourist attractions, delicious restaurants, ferry, even a running track for exercising. We would definitely stay here again and again.

一番は、年配の女性スタッフがとてもフレンドリーで親切で、いろいろな話が出来てとても好印象でした。王宮、ワットポー、ワットアルンに近く、朝、夕、夜といろいろな表情のワットアルンを眺めることができ、ワットアルン好きにはたまらない立地だと思います。地下鉄の駅も徒歩圏内で移動にも便利です。周辺のレストランも行けませんでしたが何件か行ってみたい店がありました。また、訪れてみたいホテルです。

小さなホテルですが、スタッフのみなさんがとても親切で暖かく安心して快適に滞在できました。　 建物自体は歴史を感じるものの清掃は行き届いており、快適に過ごせました。 シャワーはロングヘアの私でもストレスなく洗い流せる最良水圧でした。（3階のリバーフロントのお部屋はバスタブ付きでした。） 滞在した3階のリバーフロントのお部屋からはワット・カンラヤーナミット・ウォラマハーウィハーンやウィチャイ プラシット砦は見えましたが、ワットアルンは見えません。それらが見えるだけでも雰囲気があって良かったです。 朝食は、雨の日以外はホテルの別棟川沿いのカフェでいただきますが、そこからはワットアルンがバッチリ見えます。とても心地よく朝食をいただけました。 朝食はブッフェではなく、メインを卵料理かタイ料理とあともう一つ？から選べます。パンやシリアル、ヨーグルトなどはお代わり自由です。 卵料理メイン、タイ料理メインともにいただきましたが丁寧な調理で付け合わせも多くとても美味しかったです。今でもまた食べたい^_^ 立地は、ワット・ポー、ワット・プラケオともに徒歩圏内で、ワットアルンも船ですぐで、それらを周りたい方にはとても良いロケーションです。 SANAM CHAI駅も徒歩5分くらいで電車移動にも便利です。 ホテルの周りにはミシュランを取得したカジュアルめなタイ料理レストランや、その他各国のお店、カフェ、ジェラート屋などがあります。夕方のワットアルンに沈む夕日を観にきた観光客の夕食時間に重なると入れないこともあるかもしれません。口コミの良いレストランは予約した方が良いかもしれません。 とてもおすすめの素敵なホテルです！
