Good location amongst nearby shops and modestukj priced restaurants, cooperative desk staff , big rooms and good hard beds ( as found in China) , try the Bruneiwide well known Palm Garden Hotel .
Great facilities provided with reasonable priced shuttle services, complementary use of gym and has a very healthy restaurant. Within walking distance to regent square for more food selection. They can also assist to contact car rental with very reasonable price from authorised rental.
Informative about where to go eg the ulu temburong trip was amazing!
Only had one minor hiccup is the hotel shuttle vehicle was making strange noise. After discussed with the driver regarding to the shuttle vehicle, the vehicle was no longer in use. Good and quick action taken. They provides another shuttle vehicle.
Love the hotel! Staffs are friendly and services are excellent!
Gym next door is awesome! Love my stay here. I have stayed at 3 different hotels in Brunei and this is by far the best!
Great gym and a health food restaurant. Some kind of art course place too, which I had no time for. The average hotel guest wants something else but my experience was, as if someone had built a hotel just for me. In many cities I spend time looking for good gyms and restaurants with the kind of food I like to eat. I dont care for luxury and Palm Garden Hotel doesnt have any. I would stay there again if I had any reason to visit Brunei again which is highly unlikely.
A decent hotel with a pool and a large fitness gym next to the hotel which you can frequent. There’s also a clean eating restaurant. Next to many shops and eateries. Near Masjid Jame. Need to take a bus (1 Ringgit) if you want to go to the city aka Bandar. Note that this hotel is not for fussy travellers. And loud music music can be heard at night till the wee hour. Since i love music and i am not disturbed by the loud songs, i did not find this a problem. Like i say, not for fussy travellers. Thanks Palm Garden!
The food could be a little tastier...because the breakfast served is healthy version...they should give option for people who don’t want to eat healthy.
I have been staying at this hotel 4 times already and I am sure I will be if I come to Brunei again. 2 thumbs up.

Was very disappointed upon arrival at the Palm Garden Hotel. Mainly because it is surrounded by tropical bush, and advised by my driver to be careful of snakes if walking near the hotel.and this was confirmed by hotel receptionist. You need the hotel's shuttle to take you into town or the shopping mall as it is too long a walk to either. There is a restaurant, gym and pool attached to the hotel which were okay. I wouldn't stay at the Palm Garden again.
Nuhjunen hotelli, tupakanhaju tulee käytäviltä sisään huoneeseen. Huoneessa ei aluksi toiminut safety box eikä lukulamppu. Siivooja ei kertaakaan vaihtanut juomalaseja eikä poistanut tölkkejä.
Positiivista oli pääsy viereiseen kuntokeskukseen.

OK hotel, taxi needed to city.
Hotel is ok, has good and bad points.
Good - cheapest 3 star in Brunei I found, Modern (bathroom dated n needs better cleaning). Staff friendly. Airport pick up available. Food good in adjacent restaurant. Wifi very good, air con excellent, Area very quiet and room quiet if neighbours don't create noise (walls thin). TV was good with some English speaking channels.
Bad - No replies to my many emails for the airport pickup. Expedia intervened n contacted them n they confirmed to Expedia that they had my emails n had arranged pick up. However still no confirmation to me of details despite Expedia's insistence to do so. Arrived at airport n could not find driver anywhere. Got a local taxi to hotel n they said the driver was at airport ....but where ???, as this could have been avoided if they had replied to email n gave me pick up details. They gave me a free ride back to the airport in compensation which I appreciated.
Room was spacious n well equipped, however carpet was unclean with bits (paper, fluff etc) over it, saw the cleaner and asked her to vacuum it which she did immediately. Bathroom dated but clean except the grouting in shower and around basin was very dirty with black mould and stained. Very unsightly n unhygienic. I spent 10 mins cleaning it all off with the toothbrush they supplied, totally removing it. Why couldn't cleaner do this as it's basic cleaning. My floor was non smoking but people smoking in rooms n corridor n seen by cleaner but no action taken.
Warm hospitality, clean room and good price. There's a nice restaurant to have breakfast near the hotel (10 seconds on foot). Also, you can access to a big supermarket by a few minutes on foot. The only problem was that there isn't a bus stop nearby. You need a taxi or your own car for not wasting the time.
Everything was great about my stay at the hotel. The only negative part was the location. I traveled around by public bus while in Bandar Seri Begawan and apparently the hotel is located quite far from the nearest bus stop. Plus, the road heading towards the hotel from the main road is not pedestrian friendly and pass through undeveloped area. I believe the hotel would be good for those taking advantage of its free airport transfer or for those who opted for the hotel's half day or full day city tour (chargable).
Gym is well equipped with scale and blood pressure monitor. Use kettle to boil drinking water . No microwave. Tiny fridge. Grocery store 300 meter walk.
The staff at the reception was extremely friendly, she arranged me two shuttle services, as well as the airport pickups;) and she has given me some advice on where to go in BS Begawan!
The facilities of the hotel is a bit old but still definitely fine!! the bed is comfy and spacious, for me it is worth the price!!!
First time checking in to this hotel. Room and bed is bigger than expected. Very satisfied!

A nice Hotel in the Central part of the city
The Hotel is located between down town and the up town area. It is in a very central location Serviced by number 20 bus route if a taxi is not sought. The hotel offer a complimentary bus service to the down town or airport areas. The night markrt is walkable. The staff really make this hotel. They are friendly and do their upmost to answer queries and help you get around. The rooms we had were reasonable value for money really. The breakfast in the chic restuarant was excellent. The gym at this hotel seems to be frequented by family of the Sultan from time to time. I think it is fair to say the external appearance of the hotel is looking tired. if I was to visit Brunei again I would consider this hotel again as an option
All in all my family had an enjoyable stay. There are other restuarants that are close by also allnare walkable to. The Korean one was very good indeed.
the staff are friendly & helpful. But they had very poor Wi-Fi connectivity issues and unstable and very slow internet speed due to the poor Wi-Fi router or Wi Fi signal repeater equipment. Very poor cleanliness on swimming pool areas and in the changing room or toilet and may cause personal injury on the slippery floor around the pool area. The room lighting is very poorly light up and very hard for doing any work or without internet or very slow connectivity
There is nothing intrinsically wrong with is hotel and when we had persistent problems with the lock on the door, the staff relocated us without being asked. In fact the staff were excellent all round- as good as any hotel I've ever stayed in. Room 102 was larger than normal which was a bonus but both rooms (106), were spoiled by the noise coming from the compressors for the aircon located on the wall outside. Also the beds are quite firm so wouldn't suit someone who likes a soft mattress but great for those with a bad back. The is no restaurant in the hotel but there is a very good cafe next door with the focus on healthy natural food. It is also only a short walk (500m) to the local shopping complex.
Overall, we would stay there again but would ask for different rooms.
